Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

3 main reasons for this move

1) he's cheap
2) he's available
3) he knows the offense

Ok 4 reasons, he's Sexy Rexy dammit

Re: Redskins Sign Grossman

My view is the same as several: JC, Rex, PJ as your 2010 QBs and Shanny restocks the OLine through the draft. You could even see Shanny take a flyer late in the draft on a QB to give PJ something to work for.

Little if any attention so far has been directed towards the LT position in free agency. To date no attempt has been made to resign Levi Jones who after coming in late last year played well at times. He's an URFA who has made it clear he wants to be a starter for some team, not sure the Redskins are willing to commit to him long term.

Therefore it may be safe to asume it is the intention to address the position of LT in the draft, whether it be with the 1st or 2nd round pick. So much speculation surrounding Jason Campbell that will all be made much clearer next month.

Just so you know, and I will have to find the link, but an offer was made to sign Levi Jones, and he said no thank you, he wanted more money, and probably some guarantee which he isn't getting.

I didn't know an offer had been made, but it does not surprise me that he turned down an offer of which he was not satisfied with. Maybe he feels he can do better elsewhere. We shall see if there's any other suitors and how much they're willing to offer him.

I agree about Levi Jones. Maybe he is the one holding up a deal - remember he shopped himself for a long time last year?

Maybe if we do not walk away from the draft with a clear new LT (I'm not recommending this, just saying), he will quickly sign, thinking he has a sure starting job with us. Maybe.

I am beginning to not like Shanny. His teams were always soft, except for those Elway Terrell Davis, Sharp Super Bowl years.

Signing Rex means that Shanny is building a soft team? How did you make that leap?

I think that he meant the full approach so far. I mean we all have our thoughts but until the season culminates we can speculate on and judge the moves and non-moves all that we want. They've constantly said that the plan is over the coming years, maybe they'd rather be the 3rd little piggy.

I don't think any move they have made so far sheds any light at all on what thier plan is. They have signed a few backup types. Until we see trades start happening and draft picks made we do not really know what they are doing, so to label it soft is just rediculous.

Yeah, except for the years he was World Champion, his teams were bad.
