Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
Isn't that what a gentlemen is supposed to do for a lady?

T.O has been declining since 2008.

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
Really, How?
2009 Rec-55 ***Yds-829 ****Avg-15.1 ***Lng-98 ***1st 33 w/55 Rec 2008 Rec-69 ***Yds-1052 ***Avg-15.2 ***Lng-75 ***1st 38 w/69 Rec If he's not getting the ball in 2009 as often as he was in 2008, his stats will reflect that. Note: His avg/yd. has stayed the same. His rate of 1st has increased if you take in account the Rec. Statistically he has stayed the same. Terrell Owens: Career Stats |

Terrell Owens: Game Logs Terrell Owens: Game Logs You'll see a large decrease in 100+yd games and an increase in games with 70 or less yds a game.

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
I did with the 2008 season. His yards per game were 65.3 WITH Romo AND the number of first downs he had went WAY down..

Look at game 11 in 2009. He had 9 rec. for 197 yrds. Besides that game his highest total rec. was not more than 5 rec. and much less than that in most games. In fact he had 10 games with fewer than 4 rec. I guess it comes down to personal perspective. But I would be willing to bet that a Mcnabb/T.O. combo would produce HUGE Stats. Question is, Like Matty stated earlier, "would Mcnabb want to go down that road again?" |

He produced just fine despite having the WORST starting QB in all of football. The guy is still top 15 in the league, maybe still top 10. |

And I still remember 2008 and how at least some folks were jabbing at his inability to break being jammed at the line of scrimmage. It used to be he was double-teamed and it didn't matter. Suddenly, he became just a little more stoppable. And TO is ALWAYS a model teammate year 1. It's year two or three when the blowups occur.

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
Or maybe when you're supposed keep up your past production, you don't post that many multiple sub-40 yd games and post only 2 100+ yd games, one which was a freebie from a coach who thought his lame gameplan would work, with your starting QB(Romo) available for 14 games?

I would take him if:
-he gets a one strike keep your mouth shut rule -he comes with a roll of duct tape to shut him up -shannahan truly believes he still has something left in him If not, absolutely NO. |

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
Well, if its an arguement about T.O., here is my view -
He is heads and shoulders better than any receiver on this roster, bar none. We can get him for 0 players, and for 0 draft pix, and would instantly give us a top tier wideout and a nice weapon to pair up with Thomas and Cooley. If we get the Tackles taken care of, I can see us becoming the Philly of a couple years back. Great team, but no premium wideouts to toss the rock to. (I dunno about 6 mil a year tho, slim that down to 3 1/2 - 4) He Still can produce, and is a freakish physical specimen. 3 year deal wouldn't be unheard of, with plenty of stipulations and stock full of unguaranteed $$$ based on perforance on and off the field. I think he wants to destroy the stigma he has given himself. He is nearing the end of his career, and wants to be remembered as a great wide out, and possibly a champion. If there is any ex cowboy i'd sign, it would be T.O. With Donovans blessing. If he thinks it will be a bad situation, then pass. |
