Sorry, but Schein? Adam Schein???? Who the hell is he???? Not to mention that reading that excerpt from his radio show made him sound like a goon. Or a fanboy.......

The line should be better but it's time to put on the pads.

EX thread? Is this suppose to be funny? Someone is really retarded if they think we have the best line without having seen the line play a single down together.

Re: Could the Skins have the best offensive line in the division?

It would be interesting to see a survey that asks...
Which team currently has the most dominant line in the NFC east?
Eagles
Redskins
Cowboys
Giants

That is why I said the thread was ridiculous....because I think it is unlikely to believe the Skins would win a poll like that with the educated Skins fans that frequent this site.

Per the link provided:
"Miller continued, "That might've sealed the deal. What once was a weakness.... To me, Adam, they may have the best offensive line in that division right now, and that's saying quite a bit."

Schein nearly blew out my headphones with enthusiasm. "Jeez," he boomed. "Wow! You just hit me over the head with that comment! You're right, Mills! I didn't even think about that! You're a hundred percent right!"

Re: Could the Skins have the best offensive line in the division?

being that last year our OL was probably one of the worst in the league, if not the worst, I'd say that our OL, just by the additions of Artis Hicks, Jammal Brown, and Trent Williams should make us way way better, being that we have a former all pro LT starting for us at RT, a much better guard that was better than pretty much all over our starting guards from last year. As well as a coach who can make OLine's look good, and a QB who has a sense of awareness in the pocket. That already makes us that much better.

I'd say right now were at about the 10th best OL in the NFL, and by seasons end we could be even higher/better.

Re: Could the Skins have the best offensive line in the division?

No I think you are right on the money with the Bucs, but they are a victim of thier own achilles heal in that they dont have the coaches to use what they have. Thier playbook is about as vast as ours was the last 2 years.

Now to the point of the Redskins woeful lines over the last few years. We kept relying on often innjured and old Linemen. Thomas, Jansen, and Samuels. These guys were just on bad play from missing the season time and time again.
To be fair I won't include Samuels in that list, but vinny should have been aware of Chris's problems and have been prepared. Just as how could he think we could continue to keep playing thomas year after year. He had torn muscles in his arms and broken bones time and time again. Ok enough of talking about the past for me. We all know how we had gotten to last years debacle when it came to the big guys up front.

Remind me to never ask a hypothetical question again, oh and check out the link backs to this thread. Good to know that Giants fans don't understand "could" too.

You would have been better off with a hypothetical like "Could we be 3-13 next year?"

Sorry for my role in being a wet blanket and not going with the "hypothetical." Last year at this time I wrote that we had a decent squad and then we sucked. I am therefore hesitant to embrace such optimism again. Plus I'm tired of the offseason speculation: I don't want speculation, I want football! Come on July 27!

But your question was not a bad one. Yes, we could have the best line in the division.

Re: Could the Skins have the best offensive line in the division?

I liked the thread Matty, it is a hypthotical theory about how our line will do. This is what the media does in the offseason. Hell at least we aren't hearing the redskins didn't do anything in the offseason to bolster the line. I will take this kind of conjecture over the other anytime.

Keep posting good stuff about us Matty love reading it. Taking big gulps of the Redskins KoolAid on vacation this day after the 4th of July 2010!

24 days till training camp opens now is the time to bring up convos like this. To dream the impossible dream (I think with the right coaching) forgot the rest of the words.
