I look at Reids scheme and it looks old and tired and slow sometimes. It almost does not look like anything that came out of San Fran. I look at Holmgrens and it too looks slow sometimes but at times with the Seahawks it looked similar to Shanahan's which looks fast to me. I remember yrs ago people talking about the WCO supposed to be fast and needing smaller OL to get it done. Reid loves his big fat slow lineman. |

Re: Pluses and Minuses: Bills vs Redskins
For the first preseason game I was pretty happy with the way we played across the board. I actually think its good for players to make mistakes in preseason because they can learn from them. I do get mad at lazy uninspired play which I did not see Friday night.

Plus:
London Fletcher: So glad I was wrong about going after him. It's like he's been playing ILB in the 3-4 his whole career. Very lucky to have him on our team Ryan Torain: He runs too high? So did Eric Dickerson. Anyhow, happy to see him run well, otherwise all my praise of him would have been for naught. More importantly though, nice to see him back on the field less than two years after tearing his ACL. Minus: Chad Rinehart: So sad I was wrong about drafting him. Maybe he's just not totally healthy yet, but while everyone talks about cutting Kelly and whether he was a busted draft pick; I'm more concerned with Rinehart. Not sure there's a place for him on this roster Maake: Didn't seem to get much penetration at DT. He takes up space, but wasn't much of a difference maker

Re: Pluses and Minuses: Bills vs Redskins
To clarify, meant he takes up space as in he was just there. But I didn't really notice him either penetrating or helping others (a la Haynesworth and Perry Riley). I also saw him get pushed back a bit. Overall, not totally impressed. Still early though

Re: Pluses and Minuses: Bills vs Redskins
The first line of your post sounds like a quote from London Fletcher, I'm curious as to what player he was talking about.

Hi everyone...1st post here.
Pluses: Loved how we were able to score TD's in the redzone on the 1st and 2nd teams... Tackling seems to be much better than last season already... O-line played exceptional compared to last season.... Not committing turnovers...Keep it up guys! Minuses: Seems some players were hesitant on what they were supposed to do on Defense such as A.Carter. They were reacting to the offense instead of Attacking, like this Defense is designed to do.... Did not like that Rookie getting 5 steps or more on Carlos Rogers on that deep incomplete pass. He does that against Dallas,Colts or teams with very good QB's and so on and it's 6....Carlos has and always has scared me back there, but Hall played very well.... I have no Minuses for the Offense. It was like watching the Colts in a Redskins uniform compared to the last 4 or 5 years imo... BTW...Glad to be here guys and look forward to having great discussions and debates with my fellow Redskins fans. ace |

Re: Pluses and Minuses: Bills vs Redskins
I've come to the conclusion this was your very own quote. Sorry for the misunderstanding what you intended. I just never remember you having any form of opposition to Fletcher.

Re: Pluses and Minuses: Bills vs Redskins
Kelly won't practice tomorrow.. chances "very very slim" that he plays against Ravens
"Obviously, if he can't practice, he can't show me anything" |

Certain factors make a hamstring injury more likely. Age, weight, flexibility and bad running stride can all cause a hamstring injury. Previous hamstring injuries make another occurrence highly likely as well. Performing explosive movements when your muscles are not prepared can rupture the muscle fibers and cause a major hamstring injury. To some extent this injury occurs due to poor flexibilty training and poor warm up practices. To some extent this is a preventable injury, especially if you have a history of this injury, you should be prepared. Regardless how 'Great his hands are' and all of his other 'awesome' strengths (which I have not seen), if his body fails him this much at his young age, maybe being a professional athlete is not in his future. It is not in our best interest to have a WR on our roster that has this chronic problem. To some extent this is lack of preparation. |

There is a pattern here o flack preparation and their inability to become starters should not be a huge surprise. It seems at times in the past they were lacking in fight and desire. They came in thinking they were already stars. Their own web sights, music videos, ego issues. I have to give Thomas some credit though, during the long punt return for TD by mity mite, Thomas made a key block. He was physical and it was the first time he ever really impressed me. The TD Thomas had later in the game was against Bills scrubs, I guess all Bills are scrubs to a certain extent, but it was against 2nd or 3rd team dbs. |
