You say that like Kelly is getting hurt in the games and from hits. Thats not the case.

Kelly is not known for knocking the snot out others. Lets not kid ourselves, Kelly will not be mistaken for a tough guy on an NFL football field.
He is a softy just like Talyor Jacobs.

His rook year he was praised for his downfield blocking & physical play in camp.

Gary Clark had CHRONIC hamstring issues, but he found a way to suck it up for his team on Sundays. I just don't see that kind of toughness in Malcolm Kelly's make-up.

I feel bad for the him...it sucks but this is business. I hope the Skins cut him lose now and let him get a chance to catch on with another team.
Pardon the pun but how do you ecpect him to do that when he cannot stay on the field? I do not think that any team will take a chance on him until he can prove that he is healthy.

I believe in the power of The Secret which tells us that "an individual focused on positive thinking can realize life-changing results such as increased wealth, health, happiness and more."

Or more likely a desperate team will pick him up for insurance after a few months.

re: Update: Malcolm Kelly To Be Placed On IR

I think it's a shame. By all accounts, from everyone I spoke to, Kelly's a good, hardworking guy universally liked by teammates, coaches, front office, security guards, secretaries, janitors, etc. at Redskin Park who was attentive at meetings, came early, stayed late, studied film, showed tremendous hands when on the field...but just hasn't been able to stay on the field as much as anyone would like.

I think people would actually be more forgiving if he had one devastating injury, like if he had been taken away on a stretcher and had to give a thumbs up sign to show the fans he wasn't paralyzed. But I think the fact that it's been lingering, nagging injuries that aren't easily remedied by some major surgery has turned more people against him.

Don't know his condition. As recently as this morning I was one of many "insiders" convinced he was a lock to make the team. Not as sure anymore

But you guys do realize this means we're getting DeSean Jackson in 5-10 years, right? Think about it, 1994 (or thereabouts), Casserly wants speedy, small Joey Galloway, Turner wants and gets big, tall Michael Westbrook. Now?Galloway a redskin, Westbrook out of the league. 2001 Snyder wants speedy, small Santana Moss, Marty wants and gets big, tall Rod Gardner. now? moss a redskin, gardner out of the league. 2008 Beemnseven wants small, speedy DeSean Jackson, Vinny wants and gets big, tall Malcolm Kelly. Now? Vinny out of the league...

CBA prevents us from cutting a player due to injury. We either put him on IR or reach an injury settlement.
