It seems that sports talking heads are quick to talk a team up without looking at the big picture.

Look at the Giants, had an awful game against a terrible Carolina team, yet they were being talked up big time going into the 2nd week. They lose two in a row, and now beat a Bears team that was probably hyped up as well.

Running the ball more...and not blitzing on every down.

HUGE positive this week was the Skins' linebacker play. Definitely an upgrade from last week.

Credit the staff for making personnel adjustments at linebacker

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives

One things for sure. The NFL changes on a week to week basis. More so in the beginning when teams are searching for an identity. Things might stabilize a bit as the season goes on, but odds makers have to be going nuts right now. It's not even funny how hard it is to predict games right now.

-All 8 ESPN analyst picked the Eagles to beat the Skins

-Who would have thought that after beating the Chargers in week 3 that the Seahawks would lay an egg against hte Rams

-The Bears couldn't buy a third conversion. Tonight they looked a lot like the 2008 Redskins so I'm not nearly as jealous as I was last week.

-Browns beat Bengals. I know Palmer is struggling but the Browns?

-Jaguars beat Indy. A win that no one saw coming

-Tenneessee looses to Denver.

Right now picking games is easier with an Ouija board.

Funniest part of this week though: Irvin picks Cowboys as best team in the NFC East. Lol, so the team that doesn't even play and has struggled for 2 of their first 3 games is the best team? Really? What would have stopped them from playing like crap this week? This week should have proven more then any other that what you did last week doesn't mean jack.

Also here's a positive. I have never been in Smootsmack's thing under his name. Usually when your names there, it means you've passed on.

True.
The Jags have always had close games with Colts in the past couple of years, but they've been on the losing end of most of them.

- Defense - still not perfect but BIG improvement.

- Portis - looks great this year, best he's looked since Gibbs II. He's even making cuts in the open field without falling down.

- McNabb - definitely not a perfect game but just wanted to give some props. I think he's played great this year, better than expected even. I never realized how bad Campbell was 'til I saw a real QB in action. What a difference.

I'm usually pretty solid picking games, but I've been downright awful this year. Might as well just flip a coin and pick that way.

Nice win, I think the coaches really had them ready to play.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives

The main positive is this team found a way to win on the road. Losing Vick certainly helped and Kolb was terrible. Torain really was running with authority. Holding down Jackson and Macklin was another positive. But all I care about was getting the win.

I voted McNabb simply because of the moment. He did have an acceptable early portion of the game and no one else particularly stood out with the exception of ATV and he needs to do some serious work on his blocking.

The defense deserves mention as well. All things considered, they did a reasonably good job being on the field as long as they were.

Absolutely Banks and the running game. Just some nice bright spots to build on in the future. Even though Armstrong had that one huge catch only, he was constantly getting separation. I think he'll be great the more he gets to play (GREAT catch on that one out of bounds though!).

Looks like we have a nice RB duo with the emergence of Torain. Loved how he ran with power on his TD run.

The way Torain freight trained Quentin Mikell and then moved on for 6 points was sweet. One of our best highlights of the year so far.
