*Ponder and Newton were hitching (taking an extra step or waiting) at the top of their drops and it threw off their rhythm.
I think the wanted to complete the pass rather then just throw it to the spot and were waiting on there WRs where as Stanzi just ripped it on time on target if the WR was there or not.
Newton seemed very deliberate in his drop like he was thinking about it, which is probably b/c he is thinking about it: executing a 5 step drop rhythm throw is new to him.

**Portis drop back was off rhythm but his throws were on time his footwork reminded me of Cutler bad footwork good throw.

Sounds to me like Dalton is sneaking up, he would be my pick.

Where? In the first round? Second? No way in the first and at this point it would be a reach in the second. We have too many other needs to reach on a kid like Dalton even as talented as some think he is.

You say he just jumped to the top of your wish list. Be honest- was he even anywhere near your list before today? He's not even 300 lbs and probably the 4th or 5th DT out available.

I agree that it's quite premature to consider him some kind of can't miss prospect just because he was able to throw 225lbs up 49 times. Hell yeah it's impressive, but that doesn't make him the top dog.

Now he may not be the #1 DT in the draft, but I think he may now be the best NT in the draft if he gains more weight or 3-4 DE. He happens to be 6'1" 303lbs.

Just checked out the scouting reports on him at Sporting News and NFL.com and he's getting rave reviews so maybe there is something to him being a beast. Let's just not get Mamula'ed

Most of the stuff I've seen has him at around 295lbs. Not that that's small, but it's way short of the dominant NT/DTs in the league.

Yeah Scott's 40 was impressive.

As for Paea, 303, 295, whatever. How much does Raji weigh? Haloti Ngata? Just saying.

I think Paea could be a solid player, but I just don't see him as a "can't miss, day 1 starter."

I think that Scott is underrated. I suppose that is due to the perception that he has a fumbling problem. Tiki Barber fumbled alot, too, but Tom Coughlin helped him to fix the problem. I think Scott could be cured also.

If he wasn't seen as a fumbler, then what would his image be? I think it would be as a "home run hitter". If this guy gets through a hole cleanly, he's gone. He proved that in college. Also, he catches the ball well and he usually does something good with it after the catch. He has good size, as well, to go with his blazing speed. I think he could be a very good 3rd Down Back in the NFL.

By the way, it would be a shame if we don't get a 3rd Down Back in the 2011 Draft. Kendall Hunter, Demarco Murray, Shane Vereen, and Scott are all good prospects for that role, IMO. We need more draft picks!

I've said before that I thought DaRel Scott would be a good fit in our "one cut" scheme. He doesn't have great shiftiness or anything like that, but he has good acceleration and and great speed. Seems as though he'd be a dang near perfect fit. Maybe a late round pick or UDFA?

His NFL Combine performance should ensure that he is drafted. I think that it might even move him up as high as the 6th or even the 5th Round, in my humble, ignorant opinion.

Come to think of it, he's a very fast guy from Maryland so Al Davis might draft him in the 1st Round.

The thing that I don't I like about Fairley is his attitude, he's a punk. Paea on the other hand can be like Warren Sapp.

Fairley and Dareus should be off the board before the Skins select at #10. Paea just isn't rated that high considering other prospects who play different positions to be drafted at that point. The team would be lucky to find a trade partner to perhaps have a shot at a nabbing two players in the later first and/or early second round.

Off topic but..., what's the word on the kid Rob Henson. He was a beast in pre-season for us then got hurt. Is he still with the Skins?? I remember him tearing it up at the linebacker position.
