But Rogers normally chokes in big moments like that. It's not a matter of "if", it's matter of "won't" with Rogers. Avant only started choking last year.

Can we just play our younger players, lose out, and get Andrew Luck. He's too good to pass up, and screams the next john elway/peyton manning. Oh yeah, did I mention he's really fast too.

Luck fans - you guys really need to give up on the hope of drafting Luck next year.. Unless our #1 and #2 QBs get injured early in season, there's no way we will have the worst record in NFL next season, not with Shanny in the regime.

Put it this way. The Cardinals were using Derrick Anderson, Max Hall, and John Skelton. They were 31st in passing, 30th in rushing, 23rd in Pass Defense, 30th in rush defense. They had virtually no offensive line. And the highest they got was the 5th pick.

Redskins will select first overall in the 2012 NFL draft

We're not alone thinking this will be the case. This team doesn't appear to be competitve immediately.

Although right now it is a bit idiotic to make any prediction given that free agency has not happened (and we're not even sure if football is going to work), we are going to be a young team that is still in transition and may perform as such.

After the draft, we have young players filling areas of need (RBs, WRs, DE, and OLB) and there are still some areas that are up in the air (QB, NT, and interior o-line). In the NFL anything can happen and while the team can perform well, especially given their schedule, their needs and youth in some areas may very well likely affect their performance next season.

we could always hope that somehow the entire league is better and everyone's record is real close and we just have the worst of them all.....

Honestly though, this "lose out" stuff is getting annoying, and we arent even guaranteed to play the 2011 season yet. I can only imagine how annoying it's going to be once the season starts.

I don't wish Luck any harm but I wish he would just disappear so that people would stop rooting for us to lose like Dallas fans do.
