There has to be better options without getting raped.

I wouldn't trade for no more than a 4th rounder for that pos Sanchez. I would rather draft Moore in the 2nd round and have him start.

Re: The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be...

My excitement towards this rumor has gotten smaller and smaller as this day has gone on having watched him play. This team is still a year or so away from winning. Give me RGIII or Landry Jones and we can be an 7-9 to 9-7 team next year or better if we can just stay healthy.

I think we can upgrade our receiving corps in FA with a guy like Bowe or VJAX. As much of an enigma as he may appear, I would throw some money at DJAX, because he can completely change a game. With a good young qb, some receivers along with our strong tight end play, we can use the rest of the draft for the O Line and secondary.

I also think that a lot of people forget that we have a second round D Lineman in Jarvis Jenkins, who if he can come back strong enough, could be a big upgrade on the line.

I dont like this rumor.
Sanchez is vanilla vanilla vanilla.
I'd rather take my chances in the draft.

But i think Shanahan needs a winning season next year to stay. I could see him get fired with three consecutive losing seasons so he is looking for someone established.

That would be a very stupid move and consistent with what we've been doing for the last ten years. What many of these fans don't understand is if we fire Shanahan we will be starting all over again. It makes absolutely no sense to fire Shanahan. Us realistic fans realize that thing will take some time to turn around.

Rex Ryan's Craziness Will Keep Him from Ditching Mark Sanchez for Peyton Manning | Bleacher Report

Sanchez with Kyle would be different and better, than Sanchez with Shottenheimer.

I don't like Sanchez. He throws boneheaded interceptions. He did so today against the NYG. A move to Mark Sanchez is not an upgrade in my opinion.

I don't think it's stupid and I'm a very realistic fan.Shanahans not turning anything around,hell he's worse than Zorn!
I couldnt watch game, but I read in the post that shanny challenged a call on a Peterson fumble that he was clearly down before ball came out plus we recovered it out of bounds, just another example of why I think shanny just isn't that good

Let me attempt to break it down for you since it appears that you don't know as much about the game of football as you might think. Shanahan inherited a team that was old and not very talented with a lot of bad contracts. His first year he release a lot of veterans and dealt with their huge contracts. In his second year he replaced them with young and talent players that lack experience. He improved our defensive front seven that will be dominated in the coming years. All they need is some time to build chemistry. So far he has had two very good drafts. He's in his third year where he is most likely going to focus on improving our skilled positions. He's building our team to be playoff team for years to come. Not a artificial playoff team that might make it to the playoffs with aging veterans that has two or maybe three good years left. Realistic fans can see that our team was not a player or two away from being in playoff contention. We are a two or three good drafts from being in playoff contention. So far Shanahan has produced very good young players that will factors in turning this organization around. His offense system is a good one. His defensive system is a good one. There is no reason to change things around as long as we are moving in the right direction. If we fire him the only thing we will be doing is turning off any good assistant coach and well known head coach from coming here. Who would want to come here after we fire a legend like Shanahan? No up and coming or former head coach is going to risk ruining their career by coming here. Also we would have to start all over again like we have been doing for the last ten years. Get a brain and realize that sticking with Shanahan is the best course of action at this point.

you make some good points while leaving out all the mistakes he made and bad coaching descisions he continues to make.The 100 percent consensus around the NFL is good coach{which i have yet to see}terrible personel guy{which i have seen}
Im not saying fire him now if thats what your understanding, but if he produces another 5 or 6 win season next yr then thats a different story.

It is concerning that he's struggled these past two weeks vs NFC East teams. But I don't hate the idea of Sanchez, depending on what we have to give up of course.

Anyhow, it's a long way to the offseason (unfortunately), just telling you guys what I know to this point.
