Agreed...No interest in 29 year old rookies.

Weeden is not worth the 6th pick at all. If we can't get RGIII or Luck in the first and don't trade down (which I don't see happening) take Blackmon/Claiborne/Richardson at 6 and if he's your guy take Weeden in the 2nd and Lindey/Osweiler/Wilson in the 4th.

Here's the dilema... everyone said Andy Dalton wouldn't get taken in the first two rounds. He was supposed to be a 3rd or 4th round QB. He was taken higher.

My fear is our coaching staff gets to know him, get to liking him, decides he's their man, he understands some of the offense, they decide to take him in the 2nd round and someone like Miami or someone else takes him prior.

If the coaching staff likes him and they don't want to waist picks to move up then I'm happy with them taking a QB they think will get the job done at #6 no matter what everyone else thinks. I would love for the team to trade back get more picks and still get Weeden. I hope that is what happens. But my 6th sense tells me they will take him at #6. Then maybe take a WR in the 2nd to compliment Hankerson. Somewhere in there trade back for more picks, try for one of those level 2 school NT's, FS/CB, LB, and OL.

I'm on board with your first and last statements. Because of Weeden's age, you don't draft him that high. The dilemma here is that due to the shortage of quality QB prospects in this year's draft it would not be surprising if Weeden crept up into the first round. What helps the Skins though is that because teams selecting later in round one, looking to promote competition with their QB situation, won't see much value drafting a 28 year old to perhaps hold the clipboard. With the Skins, he's perfect to be brought in with the expectations of winning the starting position over Grossman and another rookie. Tell me of another team with a fitting situation?

The "worst" case scenario is that Luck, RG3, Khalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon are gone before the sixth pick and because I don't think Shanahan values taking a RB (Richardson) that high, this could open up a situation for a trade or maybe the Skins look to draft say, Coples or whoever else is atop their board. The possibilities are endless but, I think the Skins will have some great options there and still be able to draft Weeden in 2nd round. That of course depends on if they covet him. Right now, I do.

I voted for RG3. This is what I want...and I think this is MS/KS's plan A.

Plan B is to get Kirk Cousins with our 2nd round pick (if Blackmon falls to us at #6).

Rumors every where but I'd imagine these people would be gone by #6;

Luck
RGIII
Blackmon
Claiborne
Kalil

Unless someone goes off chart and picks up some other position and suprise everyone these guys will be gone by the time the Skins pick.

I didn't say that about Dalton. Sure Weeden could play 10 years or he could play 5 before he deteriorates and he's already in his prime so he won't really get too much better.

From what I've seen of Weeden in the practices I don't think he need to get 100x better. He throws a good ball. Has threaded them into triple coverage too. Throws a nice sideline fade over the WR shoulder away from the defender so only the WR will get it with room to make the catch. I think the concern will be the team will need to upgrade the WR position and Weeden will need to be able to read defenses and know the plays to change to a more favorable play.

My concern with Weeden is that Trent Williams and Fred Davis will get confused and try to smoke him....no, but seriously, I guess I'm an ageist too
