You can't get in a flow of the game when you are picking up at least a couple 3rd downs

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

Good game, we all know what was going to happen when RG3 went out. I said exatly what Smoot said in the gameday thread. We try to "protect" our playmaker and play him scared. Hes going to get hurt.

Alfred Morris is tough, but our Oline gives hime holes like Kansas to run through. Love to watch him run.

Defense was solid today, but not perfect. Good enough to win though, but our offense was out of synch. RG3 made several bad throws and on the 3rd and 1 near our endzone we called a zone read play where if RG3 keeps it, he runs close to the endzone if not in it. Im not sure why he was timid to run today, but we will miss him next week if hes gone.

Im coming away postive today because i now feel like we can beat anyone in this league if we are focused and 100%. Im excited for our divisional games.

I think our offense just had a bad game. Don't need to read much more into it than that

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

As I sit here and watch Tom Brady disect Denver's defense with this fast break offense,I wonder....why the hell aren't we doing this? Didn't RG3 master this is college? Getting to the line and not even giving the defense time to get up off the ground Why isn't this part of our regular offense? Sorry but it's time to take the training wheels off RG3.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

Well, its October, scary time as usual for Redskins fans. Of course the worst possible scenario occurs with RG3 getting hurt. The Cundiff miss at 31yds out was huge, the really need to cut him and bring back Gano.

Only concern is that RG3 is healthy and able to start next week. Have no big expectations for this team, just what a year in which we don't lose 10+ games, honestly would be very happy with a 7-9 season.

I think we should prepare ourselves for the very real possibility that we won't see Orakpo, maybe ever again in a Redskins uniform. But that's another thread for another day.

I personally think we really miss Carriker more

I would trade orakpo for a FS, SS, or CB any day of the week.

We could really use them both right now. As far as key injuries go, those were 2 guys that were going to be very hard to replace. Carriker was so stout in there against the run. Love Kerrigan but I think he's much better with Rak on the other side drawing attention.

What's up with Jenkins? He needs to start showing some push.

They better get a 1st rounder for him if they decide to trade him during the off season.

Argh. I hate when it's "buy high, sell low". Oh well.

Already gave away Bailey, Rogers, Landry, even if they didn't want to be here, that's a lot top 10 picks to let go. Yes, we got Portis but also away a 2nd rounder, blah, blah.
