Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread

We went 10-6, I thought we'd be 7-9. By tomorrow I'll be in a good state of mind about how good our team is getting (As long as the report on RGIII's knee is not bad). Now time for following mock drafts and getting up to date on nfl prospects.

It will be interesting to see who the 4 starters are in our secondary next year the 1st game of the season.

He definitely needs to learn how to get down. Wilson seems to avoid hits.

Sherman is going to get it in the end, what goes around comes around.

Wilson runs out ahead to BLOCK, and we don't hit him. I don't understand it.

Maybe our DB's could get some cheap shot instruction from Sherman and Browner during the offseason.

He's just a QB, and not a Luck or Newton size QB at that. Blow him up and make a play on the runner.

Don't know about that, he took a few shots you don't want to see your QB taking.

It was a great season better then expected. In the end RG was out of gas and it limited our ability to win this game.

BUT! The future is so bright I got wear shades!

A lot of coaches, Shanny included, say the hits in pocket are even worse than those on the run. Griffin is an aggressive player and with that comes some risk. Hopefully we can tone down those risks next year.

Halftime was the time to say you know what, we can't let him be out there. It was clear he wasn't at 70 or 75%, especially on that run to the outside. If you cannot bend down to pick up a ball, you shouldn't be in the game.

I'm not going to say that's why we lost the game, but the defense held a lead until midway through the 4th. Kirk would have given us at least a chance.

I have a hard time with this. While I understand the concern about losing a franchise player. It is the playoffs. We have had key players namely Fletch and Lichty who couldn't even participate in practices for an entire week leading up to games. If every player is sat because they can't practice or function at 100% the roster would need to be 200 people.

Agreed. This time of year a lot of guys are dinged up. Internally I'd bet nobody is upset they stuck with Griffin. I'm sure they all wanted to go down swinging with him in there.

I think some people are missing the point. We are all excited about the future, we are happy with winning the NFCE, we are happy with a 7 game win streak and we don't want Shannahan fired.

We are just upset that we lost a game that we should've won. Did Griffin even complete a pass in the second half?

We were still up by 1 with 8 minutes in the game even though we didn't move the ball for 2.5 quarters. Their D wasn't anything special it was just that our QB was completely inaccurate.

Bad decision to allow Griffin to stay in. Anyways, we move on thinking about shoulda, coulda, woulda's.
