Whose says he want a 100 million dollar contract. What people don't get is dude is the best of the best. He would instantly make our defense better. Him, with Rak and Carricker and Merriweather coming back and add a Safety and we have an playoff defense. We would be favorites in our division.

GW we had a playoff defense this year.

With what we had on the field. They aren't the best but they helped get us to the playoffs, and with a little help from the offense could have won some more.

Could they use some upgrades? Sure, but I believe with our players returning healthy, a few draft additions, and a couple lower priced free agents we can get the same result.

Last I checked we had a playoff D this year and the game we lost in the playoffs was not because of our D.

But no way would we be able to give up Cousins, we all know that.

We would generate no pass rush w/o Orakpo, just like this past season. I like Revis but you can have the best corners but without a pass rush you will get beat, and beat often.

I obviously agree with that. But the more valuable position to a defense is an outside linebacker that creates pressure. Plus orakpo won't take around 15 million in cap space.

No its not. Its a corner who can effectively take away 1 half the field or play the best man coverage in the game.

Orakpo and his skill set are not all pro like Revis

This will be too expensive for us to seriously entertain, and a guy coming off an ACL tear who relies on speed is a risk at that price. (And if you disagree, I guess you're not at all worried about RGIII coming back 100%. While I think he will definitely heal and do all the rehab he needs to, every time he gets whacked from now on, I will be holding my breath about that knee.)

It's a dead letter, folks. We'd have to give up way too much and I think the last two years shows that Shanny wants to build through the draft.
