I agree Orakpo is gone, if he has a good year he will cost to much to sign, if not, he will want more than he is worth |

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
Work ethic and love of the game seems to be very important to Gruden and Co.

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
This guy has incredible instincts for making a play and utilizes more than one move to get to the QB. He showed a bull rush, rip, and spin move on his highlight film. Not to mention his multiple interceptions for touchdowns and deflections

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
I think they will use him like JJ what! you say about my momma (a little early morning humor). They will move him all over the line. IMO they are going bigger looking for tipped balls (please no jokes) at the line of scrimmage.

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
Regardless of what we think about Rak's future, he's on the team for 14. Actually, I like this pick as now we can put another pass rusher on the field. The secondary wasn't the only issue with the defense.

I have to admit that I started liking this pick a lot more after we were able to get Morgan Moses in the third round.

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
I'm gonna let this pick slide because of the Moses one pick, but I will blame Murphy most responsible for my hangover this morning

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
I'm digging the idea of Rak, Kerrigan, Hatcher and Murphy all getting after the passer on 3rd downs.
Pass rush definitely upgraded for 2014. |

Good Read. Im really excited about this pick. As for the knock on his speed and burst, how is he getting sacks in 2-3 sec? Kind of reminds me of Fletcher and him not being tall enough and what not, but he just was always there to make the play. |

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
I'm coming around on this selection. I like scrappy players, he definitely will get in there and fight through the whistle with aggression. The fact that we got Moses anyway makes me feel much better about this.
I don't think it means Orakpo isn't in the long term plans. I think it means the team wants as many pass rushers on the field as possible on passing downs. I see no reason we don't keep Rak, Kerrigan, and Murphy around long term. Rotate them throughout the game and stay fresh. Then here's the kicker: on nickels, slide Kerrigan inside with his hand down alongside Hatcher, and let Orakpo and Murphy come off the edge. If I were an offensive coordinator I'd feel tortured by that look.

Re: Pick 47 Trent Murphy
I like the pick, but still worry about team speed on defense.
