Re: All things Redskins training camp
From everything i have read from Kiem who doesn't sugar coat rg IIi he is have a solid start. The guys on here who have went have had good things to say. Quicker release, better foot work, better reads through progressions and movement. It's exciting.
Seems as though they are laying a solid foundation as a team!

Curious to see why they let him go. Either he had to look really bad, or it's something injury related that would affect his long term status. |

Re: All things Redskins training camp
Even with his injury in year one, Thomas had ample opportunity to step up.
In light of (1) the rookie Jarret's versatility (in addition to safety, he is practicing in the slot corner as well), (2) the return of Ihenacho, (3) the acquisition of Johnson and Goldson,(4) the fact that T. Robinson by-passed him in special teams, and (5) the current coaching staff and GM did not draft him, he was a long shot (at best) to make the roster. This was a mercy cut.

Re: All things Redskins training camp
2013 Draft Picks:
2nd: D. Amerson - Still with us and likely to make the roster, but only as the 4th corner. May be his last year. 3rd: J. Reed - Could be great except that he is as frail as his name. 4th: P. Thomas - Nope. Just nope. 5th: Chris Thompson - Maybe he makes the team. Maybe he's out of football. 5th: Brandon Jenkins - They told us he was a steal. Turns out he wasn't. Out of football. 6th: Baccari Rambo - Best thing about him was his name. His cleats are still in the turf where Chris Johnson juked him out of them. 7th: Jawan Jamison - Who? Out of football. So, from the draft two years ago, we have a back-up corner & RB (both of whom may have topped out), and a really good but oft-injured TE. Yay!

Pittsburgh's Brown rises to top, Detroit's Johnson falls some - Eric Karabell Blog - ESPN
Rated Garcon and Jackson 6th Tier WR's. That's just insane if you ask me. You switch them with any other 2 WR's in the TIER one category with those QB's throwing them the ball and they would both be hall of famers.

Also, only DJ was rated as a 6th tier, Garcon was down into the double digit tiers. |

I thought Rambo was headed for the Hall after he lucked into a 2 INT game last year.

Redskins try Brandon Scherff at guard with Morgan Moses at tackle - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN
Playing around with Moses at RT and Scherff at guard. If Moses can hold it down, I'd make that move.
