Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
I was concerned that Kelley was banged up and that Brown was inactive. Dumb move. That left Perine (inconsistent) and CT (not an every down back) as our only options and time of possession went out the window. Not being able to run and sustain drives kept our D on the field too long, as did dumb penalties and a few terrible calls. Very frustrating.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
I thought the neutral zone call on Smith near the goal line was total BS.

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
The lateness of that flag, the way it only came out when K.C. DIDNT convert the TD ... absolutely makes me fuckin sick. Theres pics online pointing out just how fucking GARBAGE that call was. The nfl is a fucking joke and we get the shit end of the dildo more often than not. Im for one reallu fucking sick of being screwed by the zebras.

Bittersweet post game thread.
Considering how many of you MF’ers were all doom and gloom and predicting an 0-4 start after week 1 I’d say we’re in pretty good shape.
An early bye is just what we need too. |

Bittersweet post game thread.
Looking ahead, I see 2-4 games that we shouldn't be favored.
Broncos Eagles in Philly Seahawks in Seattle (maybe) Cowboys in Dallas (maybe) I honestly think we are better than the Cowboys. If we take care of business in the division (3 out of the next 5) we should make the playoffs. Teams we should beat: Cardinals Chargers Giants x 2 San Francisco Saints Vikings Edit: That said, if we come out and lay an egg against SF, then we go 8-8 this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hmm . . . If we can't get it done vs. SF at home after a bye week than I don't like our chances to make the playoffs. Also, it will be very demoralizing to a team that believes that they are close to playing at an elite level. So I'd predict no better than 8-8 after a loss. That said, it is definitely not a "must win". If we win out in the division the rest of the season it won't matter much, and we have other "weak" opponents in the schedule. We could make up for it by beating on of the tougher teams like the Broncos or Seahawks. Losing to SF may be a wake up call that sends them on a winning streak... Bottom line is, through 4 weeks this team looks like a winning franchise. It looks better than we have in decades. We beat 2 tough opponents and nearly beat 2 others, one of which is potentially the best in the NFL right now. If we come out and play like we have we will beat SF. If we don't, and we lose, than it will be the same old crap we've seen for 2 decades; an average team that sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only because if we can't beat SF we cannot beat anybody. Lol. Let's say Cousins, and like five other starters got knocked out in the first quarter just for that game and they did wind up beating us .... no at 2-3 our season would not be over. |

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
Gotta say the early bye is usually a negative in the schedule, but the Skins need it. I think everyone gets time to heal, and the offense gets some good rhythm and timing work for Pryor and Doctson. Coming back with SF at home isn't a killer game, though Shanahan will make it his mission to make DS look bad. (OR [conspiracy] he dumbs down his game plan so that KC can have an all american game and raise his asking price so that DS can't/won't resign him[/conspiracy])

Re: Bittersweet post game thread.
You know, this drop doesn't have to be a bad thing if Doctson decides to put in the work and become one of those guys that catches everything. That's why I'm not too torn over it. He knows he has plenty of room for improvement.
The main thing I'm surprised over is the fact we were in it until the end. The offense didn't do much of anything from the first through the third. The defense kept letting them extend drives all night. The fact it came down to the end after all the penalties and injuries speaks volumes about what type of team we have.
