That doesn't make it any better.

Re: Skins 23 Panthers 17 post game

The reality is that the offense has yet to find its rhythm with any consistency, and as that goes, so do the team's up-and-down fortunes from week to week. We lost to the Colts because the O never got going; the Colts scored 21 but the D cannot be expected to do more when the O isn't holding up its end of the bargain.

The O was likewise terrible against the Saints -- not that the D was any better, but you have to keep the ball away from Brees and his playmakers to have a shot at winning. We didn't, and therefore we didn't.]

The Redskins have to get the O going against a strong Cowboys D. The Cowboys offense isn't scary (yesterday's beat down of Jax aside -- anther team whose O made it's D miserable) outside of Elliott. But if our O cannot do its job, keep the ball, score some points, and not force our D to win the game, we won't win. In fact, it might not be close. We win or lose every game by double digits it seems, and I see no reason why this week will be different. And the outcome will depend on which O shows up.

I cant believe I'm saying this, but we need Lauvao back. Bergstorm graded out terrible and per PFF he is now one of the worst Centers in the league.

We need to fix this shit first thing this offseason

Roullier is a much better center than Bergstrom and Lauvao is better at LG than Roullier.

Exactly...hopefully we get Lauvao back for the boys

Other PFF grades that I've noticed trending is the right direction is AP and CT...guys are performing at a high level 1-2 punch. Seriously good news and their work shows on the field.

Couple guys who grading down lately: Mason Foster and Monte Nicholson. Monte has been down all year. Swearinger is making up for it grading very high...def top 10 safety in league.

Our Dline are all solid...the usual suspects on the oline all playing and grading well.

Why didn't the front office sign a quality FA left guard, draft one, or trade for one? Lauvao is not that good....dude should have been a 3rd string NT...

Luvao is better than having the Roullier/Bergstrom setup right now. The only issue with Luvao is his health, but that can happen with anyone (see TW and Schreff are banged up).

I'm pretty sure once Luvao is healthy, he'll be back in the lineup, which is good. As long as Luvao is healthy, we should be okay. The long term answer for LG is on IR right now, so I don't see the team making a huge investment, unless the are a ton of injuries.

I'd say his level of play is an issue too... He was clearly the weak link of this OL at the beginning of the season.
We still need him back though.

I agree, we do need him right now.

What we really need to do is draft or sign a permanent beast at LG.

You don’t see the team making an investment unless there are a ton of injuries?

Like now? Or last year?

LG should be a priority...you want Alex Smith to step up his game? You need a better running game and obviously better protection. I’d bring in swing interior Oline vet for cheap who could push Center and LG, these are not expensive and I would make invest one of our top 3 draft picks at the guard position. I’d go ahead and get that schreff extension done as well.

Look, he made it a point to emphasize we haven’t scored ANY points in the 3rd quarter. That’s simply not true. I’m not saying 3 points is a great thing, but again it’s accurate.

Obviously there’s been an issue in the 2nd half but it’s worth noting yesterday we had 3 long drives that ended in two field goals and ate up a ton of clock.
