if you let the play clock run all the way down and call start the play immediately, the D gets a huge jump on the ball and stops the play automatically.

I still don't see the logic. If you snap with 2-5 seconds on the clock, the D can't jump the snap, and the 2 min warning would have stopped the clock at 2:00 or less after a run play anyway?

It's academic now, and it's not on a par with JG's double TO blunder, but...

I think they should have ran a bootleg there...the clock would have still stopped at the 2 min conversion if they ran those 5 seconds off.
