Other than Gibbs... who is?

That said I recall plenty of folks not being big fans of Gibbs 2.0. Remember the "he backed into the playoffs twice" stuff?

Unless someone can come in here and turn things around on a dime and do no wrong, we're always going to hear the same crap.

You are right. Same goes for all the other retreads, Gruden, Cower, etc. the redskins needed someone like Harbaugh.

Big difference between winning more than 5/6 games a year and "doing no wrong". Nobody expects superbowls every year I just want to be relevant once during the holidays. Thats always a treat.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan be fired?

Honestly I felt strongly in 2008 that Jim Fassel was exactly what this team needed. Or Mike Sherman. I think someone who's already been a coach but is looking for a second chance to get his first ring would be ideal.

Oh well, we all know who our next coach is anyway

Really? Would you mind pointing out anyone who has stated or indicated anywhere in this thread, they Love Shanahan?
The majority in the poll are just bright enough to understand that the constant...torching and "rebuilding" of the Team/Coaching staff is a recipe for more of the same.....

You're doing exactly what you accuse everyone else of, taking things to the extreme.

Oh come on, all the great things he has done? The amount of times i have heard how much better off we are than three years ago? The constant referincing to the 20th century Super Bowls? Coaches change all the time in every major sport. They succeed or they fail. It isnt the "changing" that leads to the same old shit its the "wrong decisions" that lead to the same old shit. Bound to land a solid coach eventually. Hoped Shanny would work out. He isnt. He wont. If we win 6 or less i say thats that.

It took Gary kubiak a full five years to make the texans a contender. He needs more time

If you truly do not think the team in place today is not superior to the team MS inherited, you certainly are not up for....any realistic discussion.

Yes but they did have their first four non- losing seasons in those years. He took over a joke and made them respectable almost immediately. Shanny took over a joke and made them - well as of today - a joke - a younger joke with slightly less wins.

And if you watched the game today you would know better than to use "this team" and "superior" in the same sentence.
