It's really telling and concerning when your lineman dont help you up. The problem isn't the oline, the problem is rg3's lack of vision and decision making.

I still feel like its twofold; the o-line sucks which makes RG3 suck. Not just because he's running around in the pocket, but because he naturally has terrible decision making when he's under pressure.

It kills me that the guy still doesn't seem to know when the right moment to throw the ball away is. But hey, at least he learned how to slide.

Welcome to week one.

I know. I know the whole 'ifs and buts' thing but 2 turnovers inside the 10 yard line, a blown coverage and a blocked punt for a TD are the story of this loss, not RG3 holding the ball too long. People latch to a narrative and refuse to let it go in the face of reality.

If the 2nd half RG3 is who shows up every Sunday, I think there will be more smiles than whining around here. We also don't play JJ freaking Watt every week. Dude is only the best defensive player in the league so if he dominates Tyler Polumbus then you just take that for what it is.

It's 0-1, not 0-16. Live to play another week.

Re: Skins vs Texans Gameday Thread

If I would see a consistent pocket that collapses due to RG3 holding the ball too long, I'd be blaming him 100%. Unless I was watching a different game, all I saw was the right side collapsing 95% of the time, not to mention players coming free at RG3 the whole time. It seems that every single PA pass, a Texans defensive players would come untouched at RG3.

RG3 has his flaws, but it is hard to say that it is just him when you don't see a pocket forming at all and see players coming at him untouched.

Until we have a decent line or RG3 gets completely with it, Gruden should make the running game the main focus of the offense and ask little of RG3.

The play calling was less than spectacular. They wasted the last 2 minutes of the first half.

We are a 8 - 8 team. We will go 6 - 2 at home team and 2 - 6 road team.
RG3 only hit the 5 yard pass anything further than 5 yards down field was a incomplete pass. Twenty nine completions for 267 yards is 9.2 yard per and a lot of that was after the catch.

And don't blame that on the play calling. He constantly was looking for the check down. During the first 2 series of SF-Dal, Kaepernick under just as much pressure and he moved in the pocket and still hit people down the field. Like a professional QB should. And he didn't cost three 1st round picks.

Rak was a ghost today, but He went up against one of the most underrated players in the game left tackle Duane brown. Brown is a beast

He didn't suck today. To me he just looks like the same guy as last year.

So, with 2 minutes left in the half, SF sat on the ball and did not take a shot down field?

Sorry for being rude, but you are wrong.

Second, you say he did not complete one pass for over 5 yards?? Again, you are wrong. Thank you for playing. Next time, try watching the game.

I'll take 9.2 per catch.

They were short passes because that's what Houston was giving us. One big positive is Gruden made good halftime adjustments and that's why we saw a more productive offense in that half.

Re: Skins vs Texans Gameday Thread

Starting 0-1 is not that big of a deal.

Patriots, Saints, and Green Bay are all 0-1, but we pretty much know those teams will be in the hunt for the Super Bowl.

Going 0-2 is when you should be really concerned if you have playoff aspirations, seeing as how every 0-2 team since the Giants won the super bowl have missed the playoffs.

I have confidence this team will show improvement and be respectable, which is all you can ask for. 1st year coaches typically don't compete for super bowls, unless you inherit an insanely talented team. Carroll, Belichick, even Bill Walsh struggled at first. Let us just see what these guys can do and be patient.

He didn't suck, that much is for sure. He's not the biggest issue of why we lost. Turnovers and special teams play accounts for most of that.

I'm kind of facepalming the people on twitter right now for calling for Jay to get KC in the lineup.
