matua and todd watkins are the best value picks in the draft so far (chad jackson, winston justice, jimmy williams were also big steals).

browns take RB/WR/FS justin hamilton. he's got great measureables, but lacks football skills. did best at RB for VA tech, not so great at other places. I think his NFL career might be short.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

We'll be picking soon and since Gibbs has time to do an interview this will probably be an all defense draft. but you gotta love Gibbs...we're not the only ones who think Salisbury's a dick.

i like the jaguars taking DE brett hawkins (67 tackles, 17 sacks, 26.5 stops for loss in 2005 in I-AA) and DE james wyche in the 5th and 7th.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

It looks like there should be some decent talent in the UDFA pool. We seem to do a good job at tapping that. Hopefully I'll see a long list of signings in the paper soon.

After reading up on DT Rodrique Wright i see why he didn't get drafted (attitude problems) but everything I have read has him as a second round pick that could slide into the first! Sporting News called him 'the complete package' , ESPN mag said he 'maybe the best DT in the draft'! This is my kind of UDFA (if he goes undrafted) and maybe not being drafted will help straighten his attitude out. i hope we can sign him.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

I liked Setterstrom 6'4" 310lbs 4.9 40 but, the knock on him is that he only could do 16 reps. From what I hear if MIN did anything well it was running the ball.
