My best guess at 16 is CB, Tackle or TE in that order

Gotta go oline or cb in the first. If one of the big tackles is there take em. Id even go with Torrence in the second if he is there. Than take the best corner in the third. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
The good thing is, there are enough areas that need attention, so there should be someone on the board at 16 who can come in and contribute immediately at a position of need.
My preference is to take the best O-lineman or CB at 16. However, if Michael Mayer (TE) is there I wouldn't be opposed to taking him. That is assuming EB thinks the TE group needs attention, which I'm not sure he does. We have some promising young TEs, and LT could come back strong... A starting T and a starting CB can both likely be had on day 2, which would make drafting a TE in the 1st round - not the end of the world. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
unless you think the RB is the next LT/AP or someone like Reggie Bush (the best WR in his class), mid-first on an RB is probably not going to be considered a good pick 10 years down the road. All the DPI stuff over the years has really lowered their value.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
The nonsense about being a run heavy offense was classic Ron speak. It sounded good to him in the moment but hiring EB showed what direction he actually wants to head in.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
As someone else said "this is a copycat league", if you're going to copy the #1 team in the league who better to run your O then one of the architects of that team? The Giants were run heavy with SB but that was out of necessity not by choice.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
This is Ron's fourth year as HC and now he's finally getting around to copycatting what modern offenses do, maybe you can teach an old dinosaur new tricks.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I want the offense to work well, if that means we pound the fucking rock, then pound that shit. But with E.B. I imagine we will be a lot more explosive. Can't wait to watch our WR crew eat. I think Gibson should be nasty in this offense too.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I hope it works well too and do think EB will help drag Ron into the modern era. Hopefully Howell will be the QB that makes the offense explode and allows the WRs to eat but I'm not holding my breath that a 5th rounder can do that. I'm certain Brissett cant.

Over the last several years KC is like 7th or higher pass percentage play balance on offense. With a top 3 qb in the league though. Expect more passing for sure

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Howell is QB1 for sure and It's the right decision. Worst comes to worst he sucks and Brisett takes over week 4 and we get a QB in 2024
