When Patrick Ramsey was here he also said this isn't his team.

And even if they won, I find it hard to believe any team would trade for him and pay the cap hit, when they get him at no trade cost next year. |

The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
Tagging him is such a dumb idea, it’s playing with serious fire. I just don’t see it working out well at all. The game was over once he refused to negotiate last year. And the team moved on by trading for Smith. Time for everyone to move on.

Even if we tag him and we get picks for it, I think this is SERIOUS bad juju.

they could win but it's not worth the risk, for many reasons. Plus Rap just reported that there is basically no chance it happens.

Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
I don't see how this benefits the Skins in any way. Everyone keeps talking about this hypothetical situation with Denver where the skins will get Talib in order to save face. IMO the broncos are going to have to cut players to make room for KC. We can get Talib for less if we wait them out in FA than doing a trade and agreeing to his current cap hit of 12 mil. If he is cut he can be signed for less.

Verified account @RapSheet 47m47 minutes ago One reason why the #Redskins won't actually franchise tag and trade Kirk Cousins: If he gets tagged/traded, he won't negotiate at all with the new team. He'll play on $34M for one year. |

Re: The FINAL Kirk Cousins Saga thread. 5.0
You mean to say teams don't want to trade resources for a impending free agent who they can get in the open market? Idk man, sounds implausible.
