Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Here's what puzzles me: Some people here don't want to trade next years 1st to get RGIII but would be fine with BPA and trade back into the 1st round to get Tannehill. What do you think we'd be giving up to get back into the first rd? Heinz ketchup?

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
It won't be as steep as trading up to 1 or 2

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
It will probably cost about the same as trading up to two.
But you're going from 39th to 11th (if you're targeting Tannehill, and not longest remaining of Tannehill/Foles/Cousins/Osweiler), it's going to cost you next year's first and probably the 3rd or 4th rounder as well. But you're also (theoretically) getting an elite NFL talent with the 6th pick, and if you don't think Tannehill is just as good as Jay Cutler was in 2006, you shouldn't be trading to get him in the top half of the first round anyway. It, ultimately, would be more expensive to do it that way than to target RG3, but assuming the 6th overall pick is what you think you are getting, you're improving your team by a lot more in that example. It would be like if instead of trading up for Mark Sanchez in 2009 and sticking with Kevin Barnes in the third round, we chose to add Malcolm Jenkins and Josh Freeman. Although in both situations, we would have given up the opportunity to draft both Brian Orakpo and Trent Williams.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
It's all hypothetical. No one knows how high Tannehill will go. If the estimations are correct and he's valued as a mid-first round pick, then it would cost relatively less to pull off that trade than one at the top of the draft.

He will either go to Seattle or he will fall hard.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
Who cares that he wasn't drafted? Still unproven like any other QB whos going to start this year unless it's manning, Orton or some other mystery QB who has not been linked the skins yet.

Re: Peyton Manning or RGIII your choice
It won't be as steep but moving from 39 to 20-25 will still cost us the 2013 1st round pick.
