Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
My common sense says Bradford in a trade which I don't want. I'm hoping its Flynn. Draft wise I'm thinking Foles or Weeden since he will already have worked with them and like one of them.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
My thoughts are: If MS likes RG3,then it will be him. I personally think trading up to the #2 pick will be a lot easier than we might think. I could be totally off base, but are we not considering the relationship of Fisher and MS? Fisher will defiantly do what's best for the Rams, but I would think Fisher will give his good friend every opportunity to jump into the 2nd pick if the compensation is comparable to other offers.

If manning is healthy Luck, if not RGIII
we aren't going to play games with a qb this year too much is at stake.

If the price to move up is too high, then your probably right.

Tannehill will be the next Steve Young. How's that for a bold statement?

I think the price to move up for RGIII will be too high, unless Cleveland decides not to draft him and we trade up to #4. Shanahan isn't selling the farm. I think we go Tannehill in the first with Noles in the second round if we decide to draft another position in the first.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Losing picks for RG III is dumb. I used to think he was the shit, but his size gives me concerns, but the real reason I don't like trading up is that we still have a lot of holes to fill. I don't see why the Okie St kid is not on the radar as much, just because of his age. It is not like any of our SB QBs, other than Joey T, were here for very long after they won the SB anyway. Weedan is tall and has a pretty decent arm. The extra years added on might help with poise too. Not saying go for him for sure, but I think that option should just be out there. Also what about Kellen Moore or Case Keenum? It seems like we focus on QBs we can't get without giving up picks.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Jason Laconfra or however you spell his name is reporting that there is a rumor around NFL execs that the Skins are planning to trade up with the Rams to get the #2 pick in order to take RGIII or Luck if the Colts take RGIII. Supposedly our #6 pick and several later round picks.
He also said Manning is off the table cause we don't have an OL to protect the older and now easily injured Manning so he probably won't want to sign with the Skins. Personally let us take whoever is available at #2 and hopefully we still have our 2nd round pick and just pick up another Weeden or Foles. Get our WRs from FA for the passing attack. Unless we are able to pick up Flynn to challenge whoever we draft. |
