Re: Give Props to Brunell
It was a decent game played by Brunell today. He played to win too, he didn't play to lose.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Brunell started the game off hot, and quickly cooled down. He made some big throws, he missed some big throws, and he made some awful throws. If this were a one week trial, he'd probably be our #1 WR. But does anyone want to bet he'll play well again next week? Or the week after? Brunell feels the pressure "Oh shit, Im gonna lose my job, time to take some risks." then once he has the job secure he becomes firmly entrenched back to his old ways.
While Brunell played decent, he didn't play great. He about got Portis killed with a high ball, threw two bad ints, one into a lineman, and overall moved the team by going deep and getting PI calls (proving our WRs get more than open, Dallas has a strong secondary and we were blowing by!). I still want a change at QB just because I don't see this being a regular occurance.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Lets base Mark Brunells season Average againt Peyton Mannings, or even this game vs Peyton Mannings best game.

I'm just saying Brunell's YPA today was better than the average Manning game. Ya know, instead of giving a figure with nothing to compare it to.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Comparing Brunell to Manning is like comparing my manhood to Ron Jeremys. You'll only end up being embarrased.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Brunell bashing after that win today is just stupid. Plain stupid.
If Campbell played and put up the same stat line we'd be crowning him as the king of DC. Give it a rest bashers... seriously. Let's just enjoy the win, it was a great one. I really don't want to spend this week discussing the same tired ass shit. |

Re: Give Props to Brunell
I think we should add another option to the poll... good.
I don't think he played great, but he did play good. Good enough to help win the game. |

What is so hard about my point? NO ONE IS COMPARING PEYTON MANNING TO MARK BRUNELL. Todays YPA numbers were better than you would expect from the best QB in the NFL. That's my point. Better than ANYONE's average. Roethlisberger's YPA today is off the hook right now. No one is going to confuse him for Peyton either. The difference? Brunell wasn't picked twice. And we won.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
what a wacked poll. there's nothing between Great and Average? like....Good?
i'll say he was Great today, FOR HIM. he FINALLY took some real shots down the middle of the field, and i really think that new and unexpected dimension (again, for him) made us competitive enough for the win.

Re: Give Props to Brunell
Brunell had a good game today. I thought he played a pretty decent game. Anyone complaining today should be shot on sight.
