Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
How come the NFC roster has 2 Strong Safeties (Adrian Wilson & Roy Williams) and only one Free Safety (Brian Dawkins). And the AFC roster has it versa vice ... 2 FS (Ed Reed & Jon Lynch) and 1 SS (Troy Polamalu)
It Dont make a no sense to me |

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
If Betts was doing this earlier in the year when they still could have added him to the Pro Bowl ballot he might have had a shot.

But the reallity is he isn't that guy anymore he's still good but not great and he only played 9 games he has been going the past 3 years to the PB just by name we all know that. You used to see him twice a year I look at him the hole year. |

The NFC and AFC sends 1 SS and 1 FS to the Pro bowl and then the best next SF or FS wich ever gets the best votes in the 3 areas. |

Yup...if Rohomo was on ANY other team, he probably wouldn't get a trip to the Pro Bowl. |

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
Stop with the Betts comments really they're unreal and just sound bitter he's playing great. But he has only started 7 games and in the firs 3 games he started he didn't recorded 50 yards in any of those game it wasn't until the carolina game that the recorded 100 as a started his having a good season and it's showing a lot of promise.
But he isn't having a better season than any of the guys that are going to the probowl not even wetsbrook who I believe is the real guy that got robbed, heck he's getting tons of yards but he has only scored 2 TD in the hole year. 1 since he has been the started this past 5 games. And he isn't having a better season than Larry Johnson like last year he only started 9 games last year (7 when he was named for the PB like betts) but he never had a game of less then 100 as a starter Betts already has 3, he had an average of 150 yards on those 9 games as a starter Betts 89 and 137 if you only count his 4 games as a starter with more then 100 big difference. L.Johnson with the same amount of games as a Starter that Betts will have had over 1700 Betts might get over 1200, L.johnson had 2 games of over 200 yards Betts None. L.J scored 17 times as a starter Betts 1. That's what gets you to the PB in short notice to have amazing stats an play above the rest of the players at their position L.J did it Betts didn't again he's showing a lot of promise I still would take portis any day of the week but Betts show promise. Romo did that in the games he has played he has played better than any of the rest QB's that didn't went to the PB better numbers, turn around his team that's why he´s going because not, Eli Favre, Hasselbeck or Vick are playing better than Romo is. So stop with the bitterness |

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
If NFL Network isn't running, "Who is Tony Homo?" if his name isn't mentioned every other breath during even non-Cowboy games, he wouldn't be going, hence the reason the Pro Bowl is a joke.

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
Was Betts even on the ballot?
Again, if he was doing what he's doing now earlier in the year, I'm sure they would have added him to the ballot and he would have gotten some votes. Enough with the Romo thing already. We all know the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest more than anything, and right now Romo is a hot name, the NFC is mad weak at QB, and oh yeah he's also played pretty damn well too. I'm definitely sensing some sour grapes on here. |

Re: Death, Taxes, and Samuels in the Pro Bowl
Samuels imo, was having his worst season, but has been a badass lately.
When a team only gives up 18 sacks all year and is 5th in rushing, someone goes to a probowl. NFL.com - NFL Stats Those numbers are golden for an O-line, just as good as TD passes for a qb or catches for a receiver.

Romo outplayed Favre this season. In fact, I think Romo has contributed more to the Cowboys in 8 games than Favre did to the Packers in the entire season. Romo gets in by default.
