I think everyone felt that they made the wise choice even after they made it. No hindsight needed.
Like i have said a million times before, Vick is overrated. Always has been...but apparently he will no longer be.

Chargers got the better part of that deal easily. Even back in 2001 when they made it. I thought it was a great deal for San Diego. San Diego has a knack for making good deals. (example: 2004 Eli for Rivers)

True. They have been doing pretty good with there personnel lately. Let’s see if Turner can make it all work this year. The Chargers have kind of been my “step child” team since the Rams left. I pull for them as long as there not playing the Redskins.

I especially am pulling for them now that they got embarassed by the patriots. I hate the patriots, and the chargers are a class team and orginization.

It doesn't hurt that I have a few Norv Turner autographed items and need him to be successful to cash in!

Nice, I hate the Patriots too. So I guess we fell the same way about a few things.(Besides Tony Stewart that is)
I hope you get to cash in on your Turner sig's as well.

Yeah, I still need to work on you about Stewart. LOL.

We have actually fallen on similar sides of the argument on several occasions.

Only recently...they weren't exactly smart in the late 80's and throughout the 90's.

Who do you go after: The guy who does coke in his basement, the guy who sells coke to a few clients, or the person who supplies the whole city with coke? Vick can't sing on anyone becuase he happens to be the person they want! He's at the top.

It is ridiculous how many people I have heard stating how they don’t consider this issue a big deal (sorry Clinton P.). Says a lot about our society I guess.

I really hope that Portis understands just how disgusting dog fighting is after reading the indictment. It's not boxing or UFC. It's vile to consider it entertainment. Torturing animals in teen years is a common thread among serial killers and serial rapists. It's not suggesting that killing an animal is the same as killing a person, it's the thrill of dominating and torturing a living creature. I hope the hard-on Vick got from torturing animals get's him through a few years in "federal pound me in the ass prison."
On a football note, Culpepper's release came at a perfect time for him. If his knee is healed, Petrino will still have his marque stud QB.

Re: Grand Jury Indicts Vick

Couple of things:
1. I read in one of the Vick related articles that the Feds have a 95% conviction rate on their indictments. (Scooter Libby, Enron Execs - rich, powerful, connected and in jail on federal indictments).

2. The Virginia federal circuit is politely known as the "Rocket Docket" - No dicking around there. The trial will begin by December or January '08.

What would the NFL be like without Michael Vick?

Is that a trick question?
Would anybody really care?
I would not, but it seems like always, the dude is already convicted in the media. I expect him to get suspended any time. Although, I think he is guilty, and I really like what the new commissioner is doing (for the most part), I don't know how he can discipline him without a conviction of some kind?
I Know the front office is REAL proud of the decision to trade my man Matt to the Texans..........what a deal
