Trade Brunnel to the Falcons for a draft pick (any round). Cut Todd Collins. Keep Bramlet as the backup and Palmer as the third string quarterback. There is no reason for keeping all these have been quarterbacks and holding back the development of these younger, more promising quarterbacks.

That being said, I think Rogers will be vastly improved this season, and I am glad that Smoot is back on the squad. |

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
I watched the scrimmage we were not horrible nor were we superstars. We looked like a team with only one week of practice. Campbell did not play in the 11 on 11 but looked good in the 7 on 7. OUr defense line showed toughness when backed up to our goal line, they really battled, and overall did well against the run as the Ravens did use their Starter (McGahee) on a few plays and we stuffed him. The Ravens did find some open field in the middle of our defense but that was without the QB pressure that was their by or D Line. Our O Line (all reserves) looked bad at times espcially in passing, but they did open some holes for Betts, Cartwright, and Mason. You cant judge the teams by this scirmmage, all it did was help coaches see what players were going to make it past the first round of cuts. I was impressed a little by Palmer that touchdown pass was pretty, and 7 on 7 drills he was sharp also. My brother who is a avid raven fan and was at the game said he looked really good.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
Rogers dropped something like 10 potential INTs last year, that's just awful. Even if he goes 50/50 at the worst it could have had a big impact on the season.

I'm curious as to how Rogers' 10 drops compares to the rest of the DBs in the NFL.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
But doesnt that say something about his covering skills? he was able to get his hands on 10 passes. Hopefully he will take that step this year and haul those in for the INT. Hopefully with a healthy Springs and help from Smoot Rogers will be able to come through for us this year. honestly I am not so worried about our DB's as I am our DLine and OLine and WR's with their injuries. I know Smooty wont let the secodary (or as he calls them the "National Security") get beat.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
15 possible turnovers... imagine how different the season could have been if we could have come up with 10 of those. That's 10 possible scores that could have been prevented, and 10 possible additional scoring chances for our offense. And in a season where we lost 4 games by 3 points or less, it's enough to make you sick thinking about it.

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
I watched it live on MASN on Saturday.
We need to drop Todd Collins and let Palmer be our 3rd QB. Did anyone see when he got pressure (in a NONCONTACT game for QBs) and drilled the ball into the ground? Pathetic. He's horrible. Now that Campbell has learned the playbook, we have no reason to retain Collins for his tutoring services. Palmer looked good for his first NFL action. He could be a decent backup in the longrun and has more potential than Collins had coming out of Michigan. |

Re: Redskin/Ravens Scrimmage Discussion
I'm not going to overreact. But I was not impressed. Let's see how they do next time out. If this years preseason looks as bad as last year, I will not be a very confident Skins fan heading into week one. Would you blame me?
