Re: Great Playcalling, Joe
Dont cared who called the plays. We got fucked because this situation should have never happened.
WHY WE LOST 1. The portis fumble 2. The Springs pass interference 3. Rogers not paying attention on the Burress TD. 4. Conserative playcalling for some fucking reason. 5. Betts being in the game at the end. 6. Sellers falling down every fucking time we ran in the 2nd half. 7. Sellers dropping a TD pass on 2nd and goal. 8. Spiking the ball on 1st and goal, WTF suprise them and just go up the middle. 9. We had 25 seonds to calm down and run the 4th down play and for some reason we rushed it. 10. We always fuck up against the Giants for some stupd ass reason. 11. The offense didnt help the defense out, no defense can win you a game when they are on the field for 20+ minutes in a half. 12. 81 yards in the second half. 13. Not taking advantage of 3 good returns by Cartwright 14. The missed FG by Suisham at the start of the game. He could have kicked one on the second to last drive and kicked one on the last drive. 15. Dropped passes (Portis, Moss) 16. Not going to Cooley when the Giants have been torched by tight ends all fucking season. 17. No double moves to Moss when he has vitimized their corners with that since coming to the NFL.

I could be anal and point out that some of those reasons are just to fluff the list, but the central point is great, there are about 50 reasons more directly related to why we lost than anything that had to do with playcalling. The playcalling was ANYthing but conservative. The passes just did not work. Period. |

Re: Great Playcalling, Joe
Here is how I see it. If Al S. was brought in here to run his type of offense then let him do it. Otherwise why bring him here? I know this is not the type of offense I saw in KC and STL. Snyder has to be pissed as hell paying Al S. 2 mil a year for an offense Don Breux or Jack Burns can run at a far smaller price. LOL!!!!!!!

Yeah, the reason Spurrier didn't work out is because the players didn't execute, but I didn't see everyone riding to his rescue.

Wow, it must be a bad loss when the Ol' Ball Coach makes an appearance!

Re: Great Playcalling, Joe
Guys, I loves Gibbs to death, been a Skins fan since '79, but we do not have a first class coaching staff anymore. I look around the league at the playcalling and the coaching going on, and it is impressive and risk taking and gutsy, Patriots, Colts, Cowboys, Eagles, man all of those teams go for the juggler when they get a lead. Tiger Woods style, get the lead and then pour it on!!!, Where is that with our team? We play scared to death, which is why all of our games come down to the wire. Gibbs is always talking about how every game in the NFL is a dog fight, but when you have a team down 17-3 at half time, you have to pour it on and take them out before they regain their heart.

Re: Great Playcalling, Joe
I'm thinking that this is one loss out of three games we have played so far this season. We have 13 more games left to play. Take it like a man and stick with this team through thick and thin. As far as I'm concerned, there is no bandwagon. I'm with this team regardless. Always have been, always will be. If people want to wet their pants over our first loss of the season, so be it. Yeah, it was a game we should've won, but we lost it. It sucks. Get over it. Let's move on to Detroit.

Re: Great Playcalling, Joe
I had to join the chat room near the end of the game just to say whats up with this shitty ass playcalling, the giants suck at pass coverage and were trying to run it,how many 3 and outs do you need before you decide to try something different, just pathetic
and what happenned to the fucking shotgun? Eli stuffed it down our throats out of the shotgun,Romo,Brady,Palmer,Manning, all operate out of the shotgun with great success,we didnt use it till like the last 3 passing plays of the game,Gibbs suppossedly has never liked it and I dont understand it

2. Why would you start a thread called "Great Playcalling, Joe" and then say that you don't really know who call the game? 3. Run, Pass, Run, Run, Pass, Run, Pass, Run got us the game-clinching TD last week. You have to have a balanced offense to win in the NFL. Look at the Patriots. They have a very balanced offense (it's kind of funny how last week people were all "Wow what a genius Al Saunders is" this week with a very, very, very similar gameplan it's all "Old Man Gibbs needs to be fired)
