Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
I want a kicker that consistantly kicks touchbacks, makes 99 percent of his kicks, and also he's the punter,is that too much to ask?

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
Forget DEPTH at offensive line we need starters. Randy Thomas has been injured TWO years in a row. How can some of you fans just expect the injury prone players to always be your starter. Jon Jansen is the same way. Injury prone. Neither player will finish a season if the final 2 are any indication.
Use the first 2 draft picks on an offensive right tackle and a right guard. We lost the game because of a number of reasons including Cooleys dropped pass at the 2 yard line. It wouldn't bother me if the skins drafted a tight end with the first pick. Cooley catches 70 balls a year but he gets thrown to 100 times. We need a Jason Witten tight end who never drops critical passes. |

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
This chat room stuff gets old because its too slow. I want to know if anybody likes to talk live or if there is a live chat room with audio about the SKINS. If not, I am thinking about starting a Redskins weekly conference call line where we could get together on the phone in a chat room environment.
Anyone else interested except me? |

Draft:
1 corner 1 DE 1 or 2 offensive linemen 1 LB 1 DT perhaps 1 QB or RB for young depth

I'd like to see them draft a QB late to develop over the next several years. I agree with looking at DE, OL, and LB. I'd also add WR. I actually think any big money we have should go to WR, so I think that may be best handled in FA or through trade. |

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
for me i would look into the OL, WR ,LB ,DE or even bring in a few more DT,s in but i like some of the guys we have that have stepped up for us.to me the offense is still the real issue here and the continuing developement of jason campbell as our future QB.
it doesn,t have to be in any order but i would sign one here and there in FA with the right $ and draft all over the board, move around and get your needs early rounds and late rounds and possible trades if it makes sense otherwise don,t do it all unless it makes sense for the long haul. continued stability and continuity is key here for us to continue to show progress......wait and see.... i would also look at team speed overall we need it bad..

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
In no particular order, I think we need the following:
O-line depth -- Stephon Heyer is a nice start. But now we need at least 2 or 3 more young guys to groom. WR - ARE, and Moss are good, but I think we need one more reliable pass catcher. If it was up to me, it would be a tall receiver with good hands. He doesn't have to be a burner. CB - Even if Springs comes back, I think we still need one more just in case Rogers isn't ready. D-line - Golston, Monty, Carter aren't going anywhere. I think they'll restructure Griffin and Daniels. But I think we should draft a pass rush specialist and maybe one more tackle in case Griff gets injured. K/P - I think both Suisham and Frost needs some competition in training camp. |

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
#1 Get rid of Vinny and all the other posers and hangers about and hire an actual GM (with football knowledge and experience) who will then:
- get a #1 receiver so Moss can be #2 (where he really belongs) and ARE can go to the slot (where he really belongs) - get someone who can put real pressure on the QB to help out Carter - draft a right tackle who can step in immediately and play (does one exist in the draft?) - draft a big back (in the Gerald Riggs mold) who can be a consistent short yardage/goal line player and who can provide a change of pace in the middle of the field

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
Cut Brunell (sorry we need the space) and Lloyd. Nab in FA or the draft: a #3 WR, 2 young O-linemen who will be able to start, a DE, and a DB (either a CB or a SS).

Hire SGG as the GM.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
The Redskins should concentrate on getting the best players available. They specifically need to upgrade the following positions; offensive line, defensive line and wide receiver.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
If you guys read JLC's blog carefully you will see that our first 2 picks will be DE and CB, also don't be surprised if a RB (big) is picked. I seriously think Alexander will be converted to G and he'll be a stud pulling G.

Re: What Changes Should We Make Going Into 08?
If there is a position that needs a change, a breath of fresh air, we need to get rid of Snyder's guy Vinny Cerrato and bring a new guy. Before Gibbs came back, nobody personified the mismanagement of personnel and money during those years more then than Vinne Cerrato. Plus our team perfomred terribly on the field during that time.
We need a good, strong GM that can work with Gibbs to fill out our roster and get us away fronm this game of having to renegotiate our veterans deals because we are constantly over the salary cap. Stop the madness. |
