Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air

Portis needs to focus on his play and let his play talk for him...He has not won anything here...so he needs to step up his efforts not his talk back game. Tom Brady doesn't get this questioning on the radio cause he has earned his stripes... I wanted to see Portis this animated in the offseason and in the preseason. Portis is one of my favorite Skins but I think there is something to this effort thing... You want recognition but not the work it takes to get you and the team there. Were is all the talk about the Cardinals this week. We havent won anything more than 1 game...string a couple of weeks together with these stats and nobody will question anything. I don' t listen to the radio on the internet too often being that I live in Tennessee but I heard this b***h fight live, but B-Mitch tells it like it is...I at least have no reason to not believe him...He has won a ring. What have we won since CP got here. That said I think we can win here. So just Shut up and play your ass off and take your lumps and stop trying to get the spotlight... |

If you think this is blown up too much, just think about what media & fans would be saying about CP and his comments had he played bad and the Skins lost to NO. It would be totally out of control. He's making the spotlight on him even stronger with all his talking, if he plays bad or the Skins lose this week the media and fans will be on him even more. This thing isnt over yet and I get the feeling when it does end it willl be ugly. |

Imagine if Portis was the first in the weight room and on the practice field then maybe these rookies we drafted would of been ashamed to arrive to camp out of shape and not ready...if there were they would be ashamed to do that and practice harder and even take extra time to get the playbook down. The coach can only do so much...time for the players to demand more than talk. If you want to talk then do it to the o-line in practice and in the locker room. I am tired of the Chad Johnson bulls**t look how far team wise that has gotten him. Yeah he sells jerseys and all but thats all...bottom line!!! |

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I heard this live this afternoon, and Portis needs to chill out... he totally flew off the handle and acted like a big baby. B Mitch looked like the bigger man, and bet he would stomp CP out if they got into it! Whoops!

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
1. I don't know Portis, never met the man. Saw him once off the football field but that's the extent of it. Mitchell, on the other hand, I've known for 10 years and he can really get under your skin. He's an agitator, no doubt.
2. Mitchell needs the Redskins more than they need him. His post-NFL career (which was thanks to him taking advantage of the Redskins drafting him) has prominently been about being a DC area sports analyst. And what is bigger in DC sports than the Redskins? And what is the best way to get people to listen to you talk about the Redskins (or any team)? By being an agitator and stirring up debate and controversy 3. Portis doesn't set a good example Monday through Friday sure. But the good-for lack of a better word-thing about is that he doesn't claim to be. He admits that guys like Rock and Thrash are the leaders those days of the week. But on Sundays, it's on him. You know who else was like that? Riggins, Gary Clark, Marvin Harrison, and many more 4. So much for the claims that it would be all fluff once Snyder bought 980

I always liked B-Mitch's attitude on the football field. I'm just not to crazy about that same attitude off the field.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I think, it doesn't really matter. Who cares what either of them say. I only care what they do or did on the football field.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
B-Mitch would take Portis in a fight. Portis would probably throw out his bad shoulder or get injured. Or Portis will claim it was a pre-season fight and will wait for regular season fight.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I think of it this way. CP seems like the chillest dude in the entire world. Hell I HAVE met the guy in his house and I can tell you he is totally chill. Even on Sunday's when he is throwing down for us you never see him get angry. The only emotions he shows are joy and "psyched". So for him to actually get livid is an indication of how much crap BMitch gives him.
