Re: NHL: Round Two, CAPS vs. pens
Maybe he just finished cleaning out his desk in Tampa and spent a little time on the beach.

Another slobberknocker of a Game 7 on deck tomorrow night, thanks to Laich and Steckel in OT. The Phone Booth is gonna be rockin'.

Re: NHL: Round Two, CAPS vs. pens
One thing I can't understand is why we seem to be playing so lacadazical. It just seems to me that the games we have lost (including the rangers series) the caps have been playing down to the apposing teams level. Even last night - we played to the pens level but luckily won. Caps hockey is physical, hard nosed, high powered offense, team oriented hockey. I have only seen that in game 1 and 2 during the pens series and only a select few periods during the rangers series...Thoughts?

I agree although thank goodness the Caps did not bit on the trades that were being contemplated late this season. Of the highly desired veteran defenseman available including Chris Pronger and Florida's Jay Bouwmeester it was going to cost the Capital prospects Karl Alzner, Simeon Valarmov and John Carlson - and we know how important Varly is. |

Re: NHL: Round Two, CAPS vs. pens
This has been an OUTSTANDING series. What will make this a 'DREAM GAME' is The CAPS playing 60 MINUTES in front of the home crowd and WINNING this series. Plain and simple! Elevating the CAPS to the next level....and playing for the East Championship! Doesn't get any better than that, except sporting LORD STANLEY AROUND THE BOOTH, then into the streets of DC!
GREAT game needed by all for once in the series, to get this VICTORY! A total team effort needed. And stay out of the sin bin! I like our chances to put together a total effort in this game 7 and keep on rolling! Lets GO CAPITALS! ROCK THAT RED all over those birds and advance! Capitals Insider - Skate Notes, Gonchar a Game-Time Decision GO CAPS!!!!!

Re: NHL: Round Two, CAPS vs. pens
You think so? I think we look awful. For some reason we're determined to look like shit every first period. We love to dig a hole early.

When I wrote it I thought we did.
Now we appear to be in shambles.

We're finished. 3-0. It's over. I hate my life.
