It definitely needs to be a West Coast coach we will be setting the team back farther and farther if we keep switching system now everyone is like JC if that happens which he might be a casualty because of the situation.

Re: Now What??

There's only so much we can blame on Zorn here -- the players apparently expected to be handed the win today...

Re: Now What??

the sooner we make changes in the management of this team, the sooner we can start rebuilding. keeping zorn all season wont do anything, unless some miracle happens and we start clicking. this isnt working and weve known it for a while, going back to the 2nd half of last season. we havent looked good at any point in the season and this is the easiest stretch of schedule.

Re: Now What??

It's really sad as I hear Samuels trying to spin how good the Lions really are. I kind of over the rationalizing....

Well the offensive line needs time to gel with Rinehart in at RG. He, personally, did not look bad (although, when I watch the tape, if they were covering from him right from the get go...), but there was certainly an overcompensation factor by Rabach and Heyer.

So what do you do to buy time for the offense if you can't run the ball? You either have to be strong on defense, or you lose a bunch of games to questionable teams.

Is the defense fixable? I don't know. The secondary is just awful right now. It's the worst unit on the entire team. The receivers have passed them.

If the defense has top ten ability hidden somewhere in it, you can salvage the season. If it's just 2006 all over again, we probably have to watch a struggling offense and an underachieving defense the next four weeks through the bye.

If the offensive line stays healthy, they should gel and we can get a lot better in the second half of the year. But you have to win games in the intermediate, and well, Detroit just kicked the crap out of us.

Heyer and Rhineharts run blocking ability is a moot point because all Zorn wants to do is run left. I sware I've said it before but it's almost like he thinks he has Jones and Hutchinson on the left side.

And on that fourth and one at the goal line everyone knew we were running it up the middle or running left. How can you be a good running team when everyone knows where you run the football? I mean, did we even run right once that whole game? I know we only ran the ball 10 times, but still.

Here we go!
Fire Zorn Monday... Name Bugel Interim or bring someone in asap..
JC will be gone after this yr and it's not all his fault, but his overall record shows he is gone.. CP more than likely is done as a "Star" RB so we need to add depth there.. Oline is decent and will get better because they are younger..

Blache will go when we bring in a new HC.
Add depth at CB, and youth on DLINE, move orakpo to DE!!!!!!

Please bring in a solid coach like Shanahan, Cowher, Holmgren we have to!! Trade up to get Sam Bradford if he comes out, if not draft another QB, we need a "FACE" of our franchise which we don't have now..
