Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
Yeah the half stadium and the boos are good, please dont stop that. This still would have a better effect I believe. And a seperate drive to collect funds for the homeless or shelters for the coming up holidays I would be very interested with giving to that as well.

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
For me, there would be a portion of this endeavor that I would consider inexplicable. On the other hand I wouldn't want to come across as emasculating any worthwhile effort that may be beneficial, however Metro Bus ads seem to be just a little......well
Too much of an emotional overtone, and doubt it would even be permissable. Good luck! though. |

If they pull this off, it will definitely get some traction. The local media will be all over it.

Too many times people try things like this but don't get the media on board. Remember the huge demonstrations against scientology a couple of years ago? Probably not.. because those internet nerds never considered alerting any press that they'd be doing it.

I don't know about the scientology thing and I'm not trying to egg these guys on, but I can tell you if there are buses flying around D.C., for four weeks, with banners attached to the side it will get some traction. And I don't think it would take four weeks either.

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
good luck fellas, should be kinda funny kinda odd if you and your donators pull it off.
question: what happens to the money/donations if you dont reach the 8k goal? to the people mad that they arent doing this for other more deserving charities . . . . if you feel so passionate whats stopping you? lol at people who complain from their couch or computer chair what should or shouldnt be done. go skins!!

#2 isn't that what this board is all about in the first place, a bunch of armchair QBs talking football and what we think should or shouldn't be done when it comes to the team?? |

Bah! Everyone knows that the only way to get Al Snyderato's attention is through an Avatar Mutiny!

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
You know what's funny is if this site had been around 15 years ago, Dan Snyder is probably a fan posting on this site demanding changes be made to the franchise he grew up loving.
I can see it now. Snyder, with the user name Sonny's Belt Buckle, starts a new thread "Castrate Casserly and Nullify Norv" "Guys I'm renting ads on the sides of phone booths to demand that changes our made to our team. I grew up following this team and I'm tired of the poor playcalling, inane draft picks...ah fuck it I'm just going to buy the team myself"

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
For as stupid of an idea everyone claims it to be, currently he has raised 463 dollars in one day. That's more money that most of us make a in day.
Sounds like it is working.

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
HHHMMM. Snyder lives in Potomac and travels to Ashburn during the week. On the weekend for home games he travels to FEDEX in Landover. None of those trips requires him to go through DC. If he does see the banner it will be on the news. After all of the negative publicity that he has already gotten from the media, I doubt that this will be the straw that breaks the cammel's back. Hey, at least it might get you on the 10 o'clock news.
