If that's the most notable feature of your stats, then the face you should sport for the camera for your identification should not be one expressing the image of "I'm the hardest of hard asses." Has someone already made a comment about this? I'm talking about the facial image that NBC showed for each player it identified, and the images were not still ones but rather moving ones. For Barron, he slowly raised his head and then glared as if he could kill with his stare alone (NBC showed it at least twice). Seriously dude, you kinda suck. Show a little bit more humility.

We did have some interesting schemes on D...playing with 1 D-Lineman many times...a whole army of LBs lined up, standing up, off the line and ready to ambush Romo. Landry played a DE-looking position sometimes. CB blitzes where the safeties both rotate to the blitzing CB's assignment...who Romo may think is open because the CB blitzed.

Haslett looks like a genius.

I swear I saw a 1-8-2 or 1-7-3 scheme a few times.

Reed Doughty is slow as hell. He is plain shitty in coverage, and blows tackles like a two bit whore blows sailors on the first and 15th.

Reed took a night off for some reason. He has always been poor in coverage but last night he looked like he did his rookie year. He also couldn't tackle. He was tackling pretty well last year so I will assume he will improve.

I recall Landry haters, who have scattered like roaches btw., talking about a safety tandem of Doughty and Horton. That would be an unmitigated nightmare.

?? More objective in general or just about Haynesworth? I feel like I'm pretty realistic and objective when it comes to this team.

Scud, I firmly believe that the fans are distracted. Do you think the team really cares that much? I would think if he was a distraction to his teammates, he would have gone long ago.

Of course the fans are WAY more distracted than the team. It's just frustrating when a player of his caliber won't buy into a proven successful system.

The players can dumb it down as much as they want, but Haynesworth's antics are obviously more distracting than if he was just playing and playing hard.

Was he really pouting though? I remember games last year when he gets in a type of "angry zone" when he plays. When he was pacing by himself, I saw it more as he is pumping himself up more than trying to send a message to the coaches. They played him after that, so I don't think he was causing problems. I wasn't on the sidelines so I don't know for sure.

Even team cancers can have their share of good or ok plays. That's what he's trying to point out. If you want to deny the plays that he was alright on though, provide evidence said plays didn't happen. Simple.

i dont think anyone is saying he didnt have some alright plays. alright plays meaning he held his ground or didnt get pushed back to far on running plays. he certainly didnt have any great plays.

my original comment was that haynesworth got tossed by gurode a few times. its football, it happens. pocket straight thinks he didnt. no big deal, not the first time 2 fans watch the same game and have different impressions of what happened.

pocket straight (im guessing) thinks haynesworth had a good game for the opportunities he had. i just made the comment that haynesworth got tossed atlest twice, they showed replays of 'em and collinsworth made repeated comments on it. pocket straight disagrees that he got "tossed around". no biggie.

i didnt even talk about how haynesworth would try and shoot a gap from the NT position, thereby opening big running lanes for the boys runningbacks which is more subjective and open to interpretation (i dont exactly know what the NT duties are in haslett's scheme but eating up blockers is generally consider priority no 1 for NT).

i thought my comment that "haynesworth got tossed on atleast 2 plays" was an innocent fact and not meant to take a stab at haynesworth. i am sooooo tired of talking about haynesworth.

like skisn69 said, haynesworth is just another body right now. no better than a kedric golston or joey salave. of course, those guys would actually stick to their responsibilities and eat up blockers if playing the NT and not try and penetrate like a pass rushing end but whatevaaa . . .

It seemed to me that pocket has been trying to point out that this defense can't be successful without AH and that it's the coaches' fault if AH is whiny b**** who doesn't play hard.

Occasionally, AH made plays. Occasionally, he seemingly got pushed around or took himself out of the play. Never did it appear - to me anyway - that he was dominating in the way one would expect for a player of his talent. Rather, he did enough to get along which, b/c of his talent, is better than most.

W/ or w/out him, the defense will be okay. It's got its issues but a half-assed AH ain't gonna solve them and, unless the coaches toss their "team first" bottom line aside for a "oh pretty please Albert, we would like you to play hard and we will design a defense just for you and do whatever it takes to get you your stats" mentality, AH's attitude ain't gonna change. I think last night proved that.
