Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Good point, don't forget about Reid too. And the end of the day he's the one that's left to clean up the mess.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Ross Tucker made a good point on Twitter about McNabb. Many Iggles fans complained about McNabbs health, yet he's been fine while both Kolb and Vick have been out with injuries.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Talking about England? Skins did not get lucky, they outplayed the Eagles. Game wasn't quite as close as the scoreboard indicated.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Are you joking, look at the stats, Eagles outplayed us in every way possible. We kept getting lucky with penalties, a turnover in the red zone etc.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
ARE looks good? i thought he had like 2 total catches going into yesterdays game for 20 something yards and like 5-6 yards a punt return with 6 fair catches already.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
The defense held it's own. I liked the game plan and effort from the players. This 3-4 switch can work for them. Wilson with the FF, Alexander covered well, Orakpo still getting held rushing the passer...

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Those holding calls are as good as sacks. Rak only has 2 sacks on the year, but I would guess he's drawn at least 6 holding calls.
He's just so fast and strong coming off the edge. He's a handful for most tackles. |

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
Kudos to Clinton Portis for playing though pain and really making some impressive moves out there. For awhile I thought my trigger buttons weren't working.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
CP was very shifty yesterday, haven't seen him play like that in a while.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
It seems Carter was used optimumly as a result of Alexander starting. Armstrong is a playmaking machine. I touched on this before not quite being able to describe this but, it seems like he needlessly sacrifices body control in lieu of catching the ball. He makes would be catches-in-strides more difficult than they are. He has to realize that the catch is not the end of the play. He's diving and sliding for balls when he could just run the pattern out for a bigger gain and/or score. At some point Thomas has to be given a chance. It can't get any worse and that's not to say what's happening now is bad.

6.3 yds/carry in Week 3, 5.0 yds/carry in Week 4. Looks fast again, breaking nice gainers with a longs of 18, 12, 27 and 11 yards in each of this year's games. If we can use Torain and Williams to limit CP's carries and keep him healthy, he'll be very effective and productive.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
His numbers aren't huge, but he's making big-time athletic catches in key situations...something he didn't do much for us.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles Game - Positives
You gotta give the game ball to McNabb because of the magnitude of the game for him and because of his play in the 1st half.
But, if i could give the game ball based on merit i would give it to Brandon Banks and Special Teams coverage units they set the table for the offense and set the tone for the defense. |
