We run very well off that zone stretch play to the right. Not so well right up the gut. Chicago's d-line is weaker in the middle.

I'm also afraid of Suh having a field day against our interior OL, but like last week, if Torain breaks the first level he'll have some good runs - I think he racks up at least 80 yards this week. I would love to say the skins win in a blowout, but there's no evidence that supports that outcome, and overwhelming evidence that this will be another close one. 50/50 chance skins win this.
If it becomes a defensive game then that would favor us IMO. I think this is gonna look more like the Texans game, a shoot out. I think the Skins offense feels like it needs to rebound after two rather poor game where we didnt take care of good opportunities. I think Shanny is not happy with what he has seen lately from the offense and could get more involved. The lions offense I think will be ready to play with a extra week to prepare and could get a lift with Stafford coming back. Lion Defense is not very good...I think we could see alot of big plays on both sides.

He still has to know the plays are and what is being communicated among the other D-linemen. If he can expound on just some Schwartz's more "popular" playcalls, that'll help out in breaking down the film they're studying.

Agreed. I think we'll be up big and then they're gonna make an attempt at a comeback but fall short. Unlike the Texans

Chicago's front seven against the run is the primary strength of that team. We were ok running the ball against them...but what really put a smile on my face was the 4th quarter when we needed to run the ball and the clock. We did without a problem (except for the fumbles). That was HUGE. Torrain and the Oline were pounding the Chicago run D. That performance cannot be overlooked

I agree, and didn't mean to imply that we would not benefit at all. Only that in every other case, I think we "won" the mentor player matchup, even Reid/McNabb. But this time I think Schwarz's knowledge of AH, as his DC for a long time, makes him more aware of how to attack and scheme for AH's best play. Will this be the critical game changing knowledge, I doubt it.

Honestly I mainly was pointing out how many of these mentor/player matchups we have had. And I forgot to include Haslett/Rams, though it wasn't quite the same.

I don't see it as anything substantial either.

Haslett runs with looks you don't see anywhere else in the league. There could be plays where AH is the ONLY lineman with a hand on the ground. We stand up 7 defenders near the line, blitz some and drop some back.

Plus, doesn't matter how well you can predict Haynesworth, if he's motivated, it's a lot of man to try to stop. There's a reason he's double-teamed every play. Plus, now we know Albert can fly. (Cutler goalline stop)

We win this game easy. Total domination by the Skins. We get to sit back and relax watching this one.

Doubt it will be easy, but I think we win by 10-14 pts in the end. I think it will be a mistake for them to put Stafford in against AH and Orakpo. Matt might get hurt again ala Sam Bradford's senior year at Oklahoma.

I'm only scared because we always lose to the bad teams and beat the good ones.
But i still think were gonna pull this one out because we need it.

Skins 31 Lions 24

Apparently we are not a great draw in Motown, as we are the Lions' first non-sellout this year.

Redskins-Lions game won't be on TV in Detroit area - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
