Re: Report: Grossman Starting on Sunday

Shanahan sure loves himself some drama, and this is all this is going to create.

Might as well just cut McNabb now. Why not?

And the circus continues. Ahh man. I really help just laughing at this point.

Yeah, Schefter just said "the marriage between the Skins and McNabb is over. It's over."

McNabb will play in Arizona (his home) next year, and then just fade into retirement.

Sigh.

Very striking that history always seems to repeat itself. Jason Taylor goes bye-bye and he started lighting it up in Miami. Watch as McNabb goes to Minny or 'Zona and starts lighting it up with Sidney Rice or Larry Fitz(if Larry wants to stay, that is). Minny runs ReidCO, so he has no transition to worry about.

If JT was that good then why did they let him go to the Jets.

They felt that he cost too much and was too old, but he was back to producing once he re-signed with Miami. 7 sacks, 5 pass defensed, and an interception.

Plus he's been transparent when watching Jets games this year.

Re: Report: Grossman Starting on Sunday

I saw this coming a month ago when McNabb was benched at the end of the Detroit game. I even posed the question, did anyone think Grossman would start a game before seasons end. If the report is actually true, we have our answer. I can't imagine this going over well.

Thank god we only used a worthless 2nd round pick on him. Given our recent 2nd round history we should be lucky we got some production out of it.

He could have improved his case by playing well. As it stands, it's a "what is" league. And in 2010, D McNabb is a pretty damn horrible QB.

Yeah he certainly hasn't played great. Horrible might be a bit of a stretch, definitely subpar. Still, both sides have to share blame. Mike's handling of the situation has been less than ideal and DM is only here because the Shanahans wanted him here, at one time that is.

Agreed. Honestly, it's disheartening when the team (with the resumes these guys have) makes decisions that a large % of the fanbase goes "what are you thinking?" and then the fanbase turns out to be right. But like SS said earlier, MS seems to be admitting making a mistake in picking up McNabb. If that's the situation, I'm glad he's not compounding it by stubbornly sticking with the guy he brought it.

I agree, the only bright side is they're not going to stick with their mistake just because of what they gave up for him.

If they have already determined that DM isn't a good fit for this offense (and rumors say that Kyle already has his mind up on that), fine, cut the cord and move on. I've got no problem with that at all.
