Re: 2012 QB Class

You guys are way too high on Landry Jones he's not even close to a Bradford or a Ryan, more like a flacco.. He's not very mobile and if u move him out of the pocket he struggles

Re: 2012 QB Class

This team needs a traditional type QB, how often is a Michael Vick type athletic QB become successful?

Andrew Luck
Matt Barkley
Nick Foles
Kellen Moore
Kirk Cousins

I think these 5 will be successful NFL QB's.

Historically speaking, it would be highly unlikely for all 5 of those guys to become successful starters in the NFL. I consider Luck to this point out of the picture, but I really want either Jones or Barkley. Both have their smaller issues that are nit-picked because they arent Andrew Luck, but both will be strong NFL players. I think of this draft being like the 2004 draft of Eli, Big Ben, and Phillip Rivers.

The only thing that Michael Vick and RG3 have in common is they are both black. RG3 is a much better passer than Michael Vick ever was. Yes, he has great mobility but he's a pass first qb. He just has the ability to make big runs if there is nothing open.

Re: 2012 QB Class

I've seen RG3 play and he's a better passer than some think BUT I'd rather have Barkely

Re: 2012 QB Class

I have no clue what this team is wanting to do anymore, I mean if u throw beck and grossman out there which means what? Just trying to get through the season w 4-5 wins? That's what it looks like now

Re: 2012 QB Class

Landry44- you have absolutely no idea what you're even arguing. It's hilarious and you look foolish, so I encourage you to just stop. You've got a chubby for RG3. We get it. All I ever said is that I'd prefer to have Barkley or Jones as a Redskin. That's it. And then you agreed!! What the hell are you even saying? I never once said Jones was more mobile or had a better comp % than Griffith. Yet for some reason you insist on beating me over the head with it? Huh?

Seems to me your MO is to just come on here brag about how much college football knowledge you think you have. It's weak man.

Way to conveniently ignore my points about "what we do here," etc.

Re: 2012 QB Class

So, not being a college FB fan, I won't make an argument about any of the qb's. I am absolutely confused by Landry44's arguments tho'. So this is mainly to you collegeFBguy:

BigC stated early on, he preferred RGIII to Landry Jones because RGIII is a better fit for what we do here. You said he(BigC) obviously doesn't watch college FB after Lotus asked why not Landry Jones.

Then later you are saying RGIII fits better here than LJ because of what we do, and say GMScud obviously has no collegeFB IQ because he prefers LJ.

Seems like you reversed your position 100%, but maybe not, I just couldn't follow your arguments, so I was hoping you could clarify your thoughts for me (a non-collegeFBguy).

Also, for me, I am just really glad that there seems to be many qb's that will be available next draft.

LMAO! I never reversed my position. Someone on here said, I'm not sure who, "I'm not sold on Landry Jones." Landry Jones is a great qb and I not once said that he wasn't. I never reversed my position on that. All I'm saying is that I believe that RG3 is a better fit for what we do here based on his mobility and accuracy. Now if I had said that I was no longer sold on Landry Jones then you would have a point.
