Re: Nickelback Fans UNITE!

I won some tickets to Styx, REO Speedwagon and Ted Nuggent, but ended up throwing them away (after trying to give them away) the night of the show because i found out it was at Farm Bureau Live. Wtf is that place? We were planning to stay with a friend and go out in VA Beach afterwards but said screw it when we realized how far away it was from the beach and what a cab fair might be. Its like the Nissan Pavillion of VA Beach? Just far enough away from everything so that you cant do anything afterwards?

Don't joke. BA's early work is great. Everything before that horrible Robin Hood song is pretty solid.

I agree about Bryan Adams! Loved everything up to Waking Up The Neighbors, then after that, it was just all kind of eh.

I was actually kidding about Loverboy although I am seeing them in October, but I think Rush has to be up there as far as Canada's top exports.

Ive partied at on the beach and on the strip multiple times after shows there. I encourage it.

No can do!

The only "concert" ive been to at VA beach was a warp tour like more then 5-10 years ago. I dont remember where it was, but it was close enough to the main strip that we went there afterwards. If im going to go out of town for a concert i want to get all spun out and do stuff afterwards. So i guess Farm Bureau Live isnt for me.

10. Finally, Please Tell Us Nickelback Is Using Massive Amounts of Pyro

Even those hockey fans that didn't recoil upon hearing Nickelback would be the line musical guest at the NHL Awards are in the "I can stomach them I guess" party. So we ask — nay, beg — of you NHL Awards producers and Nickelback: Give us pyro. Massive fireballs and explosions. Flames licking the faces of the front row VIPs.

Anything to distract us from the Nickelback happening on stage. Hey, it worked for hair metal.

Idk, I feel Fred Durst takes the douche cake on this one.

@D-Rave: It's street cred for Christians 101: live your life sinning repeatedly, and then keep talking about praising Jesus in your music.

Re: Nickelback Fans UNITE!

I thought Scott Stapp got some sort of cred for banging those hookers with Kid Rock. What kind of cred, I don't know.

Im not particular fond of Celine's music, but only because im not crazy about the genre. She's a damn good singer and fine product of Canada.

Neil Young on the other hand is straight up aweful. At least to me. I cant get past his voice. Im also not crazy about the tempo or maybe the style of his songs. I think hes a very talanted writer, but im unable to appreciate him otherwise. I feel like he's kind of like coconut or black liquorice. All of which i find terrible.
