Re: Expectations for Griff and the 2012 Offense

I say Robert plays in 15 games this year, puts up 27 TDs and 14 Picks. I say Garcon looks like a bust up till the last 4 games when he starts to come along. I think our running game will be one of the leagues best. I think Josh Morgan will put up poor numbers and be cut. Santana and Cooley play for us, but both end up injured after the 9th game of the season and their careers are done here after the season. I think we beat the saints opening game. We dont beat the eagles, we split with the giants, and the cowboys. We do beat Cam Newton. RG3 wins rookie of the year. Our offense finishes 13th in the league. We draft a RT with our 2nd rounder next year that will be in the middle of the second round, which means an 8-8 record for us. (Best case 9-7)

Wow. I just remembered that I had Jay's jersey as a kid! It was from one of those Hutch uniforms with the helmet.

I also had his Starting Lineup figure.

Baltimore maybe. They're missing Suggs, Reed...who knows with his contract fight if he'll play and how motivated he'll be, he's seriously angry at the team. The secondary isn't as good anymore.

Pittsburgh should be just as strong. Cincy could be a top 5 NFL defense and Cleveland isn't terrible and have made some nice additions. Watch out for their rookie James Michael-Johnson at LB.

You never know with Cincy. They have a track record of following good years with bad years, for whatever reason.

Um...I live in Baltimore.
Ed Reed has been working out at the Ravens den since some time last week.
And although that defense lost Suggs there won't be as huge of a drop off in production as people think.
Between Kruger, McPhee and Upshaw the Raven's pass rush won't fall off that much.
There secondary with Ed Reed, Pollard and CB trio of Kerry Williams, Jimmy Smith and Webb is solid.

In conjunction with Griffin throwing the football, look for the running game to be even stronger. What's the chances in the Redskins having two of three running backs each rushing for a 1,000 yards?

Re: Expectations for Griff and the 2012 Offense

I'm not optimistic about this season. 5-11.

Griffin plays well, but a few bonehead throws make us think Rex Grossman is a bad influence on him. He still puts up almost Cam-Newton-like numbers, till he's hurt halfway through the season.

Shanny and Allen continues to build the team, though not having our own first round pick the next two seasons hurts. Griffin will become the best QB in the NFCE soon, especially as the other guys get old, and we really start to win in 2013 and onwards.

That's what I'm expecting. I hope to be pleasantly surprised this season.

Other than all those picks we gave up recently, I think Mike Shanahan's been building this team the right way. And if anybody could be trusted nowadays to make such a gamble on a guy like Griffin, it's Shanny.

Steelers are old and their offense isn't very good, I don't see them being a huge threat this year. Ravens are getting up there as well. Cincinnati should be good but as lotus said, they always find a way to screw it up

Re: Expectations for Griff and the 2012 Offense

Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore have been powerhouse AFC teams for the past six or seven years. I don't expect much of a drop off from either of them. The New England Patriots on the other hand are due a losing season.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jay Culter win it. I don't find him to be the douche bag everyone else does.

Ravens really? Don't see it. I think it is a down year for them.
