Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
I think we can win if they force Brees to make mistakes. He throws more picks than the rest of the top 5 qb's so if we can pick him off i can see us winning
28 Skins 24 Saints

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
We're going to see if Brees can lead the team like Manning, making decisions on the fly. He won't have Sean Payton calling the instructions in to his helmet.
Brees also held out for a while. Between those two things, I think he'll be rusty and possibly second-guessing himself at times, especially with our front 7 abusing him all day long.

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
Orakpo is back. Fletch and Kerrigan will be chomping at the bit as usual. I expect Wilson and Jackson to come in a few plays to add pressure. Hope to see a little of Jenkins at DE. Cofield will do his job and the LB's will be flying. Baker spelling Cofield could also add some pressure. Riley and Robinson are both athletic LB's and should help with coverage and Riley on the blitz. If this Saints offense is not finely tuned just yet....we're gonna have some celebrating to do. And I don't think anybody knows what the Shannys have in store for RG3 yet. Especially the Saints defense.

Another great point. This is like Hideo Nomo's debut...the opposition has no idea what they're seeing and can't do anything except embarrass themselves trying. ![]() Remember that? The first time through every lineup, the batters had no idea how to hit him. I'm expecting a Cam Newton-like start to Griffin's career.

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
If the Rams beat the Saints last year, we CAN do it too. I'm just not sure we can do it losing our two starters in the secondary and against the best passer in history.. They're going to be amped to prove themselves after the scandals, and D-line doesn't matter with Brees quick delivery. So unfair that at the same time their suspended players just got activated..
Here's what we need to do to win the game: 1) KILL the head, and the body will die!! We want Brees to be running sideways!! (ie. create pressure up front) 2) Run the ball & get turnovers (that's how ppl beat them last year) 3) Score. Lots. Last edited by ethat001; 09-08-2012 at 06:40 AM. |

I loved how we came out. The Saints defense had no idea what was happening to them. First drive, unstoppable screen passes...chunks of yards all the way down the field to get RGIII comfortable without getting hit. FG. Second drive, 88-yard TD pass to Garcon. Third drive, Alfred Morris time. FG. Great game, Kyle. Quote:
I was thinking that during breakfast. In the past, we've always followed up great wins against tough teams with complete disasters against the teams we should beat...and the Rams have been one of those teams. Hopefully those days are long gone. There's no reason we shouldn't be 4-0 facing Atlanta in Week 5. Sure, the Bengals are solid but they're nowhere near an elite team. The Rams and Bucs should be blowout games for us. Same with the Vikings in Week 6....then we travel to New Jersey. From Week 7 on...our only "easy" game is Cleveland. Just look at that Week 7-17 schedule, it's scary. We need to sweep this lighter early-season schedule. Our biggest test of the first month is out of the way with a WIN.
