Well yeah it was a slip, no way is he involved, but I think it shows how some of his teammates were feeling.

Way to go Dennis, telling the Ray Halbritter loving Cuomo off.

Rodman gets fiery on Kenneth Bae question - CNN.com Video

Must be a pretty low standard for what's considered running your mouth these days.

Re: Sally Jenkins Strikes Again!

I don't think Sally is making most of this stuff up. There are people (more than one I'm sure) telling her things. Things that are, to my knowledge, untrue or exaggerated. I suspect all the people who are providing this "information" to her are no longer at RP. The problem will be if there are still some employed by the team.

RG3 is a spoiled diva, I'm sure. But so what. So fucking what. It's largely what got him to where he is today, the starting QB of a historic NFL franchise. And amazingly enough, you can be spoiled and special and still be a great teammate, still be humble. You can understand that you are (and should) be treated different based on your status and still respect the rest of the team/organization.

Very well said. He is not the first quarterback to be spoiled, nor is he the first QB to have a special relationship with the owner.

I'm over this 2013 drama BS, and ready to move on. RG3 gets the benefit of the doubt considering the QB struggles Shanahan has conjured in the past.

When shit comes up next year, we can talk. But as things stand today- this is not a new source, nor it is credible. Moving on...

Re: Sally Jenkins Strikes Again!

I have to say that I am quite worried about this sabotage attempt by Sally Jenkins. It's one thing to say, "Well, that's the Washington Post for you. Don't believe everything they say." But, her article has made the Fox Sports' web page: Fox Sports

I am going to be pissed if this deters a really great coaching candidate away from coaching the Redskins next year.

Anyone who gets deterred by a Sally Jenkins article.... is not a great coaching candidate.

I said to my brother, and fully believe, that as important as it is that the new head coach is a good football coach, it is even more important that he be able to win the hearts and minds of most of the media. I doubt anyone picked will win over the WP triumvirate, but the new coach needs to be able to be media friendly and savvy.

It is certainly having the effect that I suppose was intended on other media outlets. They bought it hook, line, and sinker. This is a real hatchet job at the time that the Redskins are looking for a new HC. I can't help but think that the timing of this article was intentional and mean-spirited.

Hopefully, it won't have any effect on the coaching candidates.

From the Fox Sports article:

"Any coaching candidate... should beware that the job will require more than just answering to owner Dan Snyder. Robert Griffin III apparently now has influence over the franchise's future as well. Griffin has 'bragged to teammates' about his close relationship with Snyder and his influence over the direction of the franchise, according to Sally Jenkins of The Washington Post. The report also indicates that Griffin has alienated some of his receivers as well as members of the offensive line with his actions, making team unity a tall order for whoever is tasked with leading the franchise going forward."

Re: Sally Jenkins Strikes Again!

Well said SS. What modern day big time athlete isn't a spoiled diva to a degree? These guys don't live normal lives. People act like Griffin is some sort of anomaly.

I think Paintrain nails it too, society loves to build up celebrities and then break them back down. And of course we love a great comeback story, which inevitably is bound to happen. Griffin was so out of control popular last year the only direction to go was down, which of course happens when you lose. Watch what a winning season does.

I've got no issues with what this woman says. As long as her husbands dinner is done, clothes cleaned/folded, and carpets are cleaned before she typed it
