Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
Its so funny with D Jax. Ive never seen a guy go from hero to zero and back so frequently. Lol. Im totally guilty of it myself.

Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
And I think this is exactly how the coaches feel about him. It's love and hate. He does just enough to justify keeping him and then pisses you the fuck off 5 minutes later. Personally I'll be glad when we can afford to move on from him but right now we need him. lol.

Alot of need picks pushed alot of the DL to the second round, and I think the skins are taking advantage of that. I'm guessing we cut someone this year tho.

Roberts will be gone as soon as he's cleared, Grant should be back.

Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
Even if he loses a step, DJax still has the speed to be the needed deep threat that Garcon just isn't. Unless DJax just completely drops off in ability (i.e. speed), safeties will not be crowding the line like they will with Garcon.
Love Garcon's toughness. He and DJax are a solid 1A/1B WR pairing b/c they bring different things to the table. However, as the old adage says, you can't teach speed. I am betting DJax has a couple more speedy years in him and, unless they find that same speed elsewhere, he's sticking. Scot will find more solid, tough guys like Garcon. They can be gotten through UFA's or drafting. Speed, however, comes at a premium. Doctson looks great and, hopefully, he works out. However, he is not a speed demon (4.5 40) and is unlikely to take the top off a D. Crowder is the definition of a slot receiver - small & quick but without top-end speed. So until we pay or draft a speed guy, DJax is going to be the guy we rely on to attack the back end of a D.

Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
Ross v. Grant will be a battle in camp this year - and it may be that the loser is fighting the rest of the roster to keep six WR's instead of five.
DJax, Garcon, Crowder, Doctson, Ross/Grant. On the roster, only Ross provides the speed that DJax provides.

Doc will play a lot IMO, maybe even start. Wouldn't be surprised.

Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
Both Ross and Roberts play teams. Grant does not. Grant isn't a good enough wr to JUST be a back up and not play teams. Seems like Grant has been here for a while and can never seems to take that next step. He seems like the one that will be gone.

Re: Redskins 1st Round Pick: WR Josh Doctson (TCU)
Why would we pay Roberts 4 million just to play teams?

Roberts could play for free and his ass is still gone. He is not exactly electric on returns. Plus they need the roster spot. No way he makes the cut. |
