Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
Pryor and KC need reps together, they're not going to get on track if they don't throw to him. Doctson is probably behind at this point, I'm sure his reps will only continue to go up.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
Pryor and Doctson should both be starting. Crowder should be starting slot. Which is basically a starter, as we use at least 3 WR a lot. Quick should be #4 and Grant should be #5. I think if we stay healthy this lineup has the most potential over course of season.
We need to try a new OL combination. Yesterday was pathetic. Moses, that better have been just a one off shitty game. Cousins, can you grow a pair? That interception was an easy touchdown for 99% of NFL qbs. At bare minimum we took a 1 point lead there. A couple more games like that and you might be the highest paid bench rider in NFL history. Its to the point where I just expect him to throw an INT in that situation. Zero confidence in him at money time.

Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
Grant was probably our most effective WR yesterday, not sure I get the hate. If it was Doctson that went 4-61 we'd probably be pretty happy about it.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
It felt like yesterday was Grant's biggest game. Yeah that screen should've been a td but I put that on inexperience. It's about time we see what the kid has, can't keep wasting a roster spot on a guy that never shows up on Sundays.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
My Grades:
QB = F Constant overthrows; Bad INT in the red zone; Could have been another for pick 6 if the Eagles D could catch; Folds like a lawn chair in the pocket when there's pressure; Just a sickly performance O-Line = D- Can't get ANY push, constantly playing in the backfield; Missed assignments; Complete whiffs; RBs need to be Houdini to get any yards at all. Was Kirk our leading rusher? ![]() RBs = Not evaluated 'cause there was nowhere to go. (CT's TD was nice so he gets a gold star for that) WRs/TEs = D+ (Pryor = F) I didn't realize Pryor had problems catching the ball. If the QB is as bad as he was yesterday, you have to take advantage of the ones that are catchable. Doctson? Crowder? Reed? D-Line = C Pressure here and there, but many times couldn't get Wentz down resulting in big plays. Did nothing in the second half that is noteworthy. Z Brown = A Was all over the place. Secondary = B (Fuller = A+) Looked solid all day long except when Wentz had three hours to scramble and throw the ball. Sp Teams = D Crowder fumble (probably would have resulted in a 3 & out anyway); Kick returns were a joke. Coaching = F+ D looked better and ready to play, but I felt they got weaker and weaker as the game went on. O wasn't ready for this game at all and that is 99.9% on the coaches. |

On a similar note, did everyone watch Eli Manning just crumple several times, even before he was hit. Giants fans have to be ready for a change there as well.

They drafted the guy from California. Could happen later this season.

Nope, Eli is getting tired of getting killed back there and I don't blame him.Reese should be fired! They have known all along they needed O line men.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
I swear, watching Cousins play reminded me of Rex Grossman yesterday.
Throwing it up for grabs, overthrowing deep balls, and red zone ints.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
47% of the league lost yesterday. Some of those teams will be in the playoffs. If Kirk doesn't get his shit together, and the O-line doesn't get their shit together this team won't be one of them. It's probably all 'fixable', but I am starting to have my doubts about the coaching aspect. This team rarely (being generous) looks ready for big games.

Oh yeah, let me definitely give props to Chris Thompson. That was a BIG boy run even though he's a little dude. Nice to see some passion on the offensive side of the ball.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
KC had too many throws off his back foot, and the way he was sailing throws it was obvious his mechanics were way off.

Forcing some throws too. He doesn't trust what's going on in front of him anymore. The O-line play has clearly declined, and he is fully aware of it.
