Even in a well-argued pro-JC piece, JC still was "not there yet". Quote:
Yeah, Tripp don't falsely accuse ME of being "uninformed" when I'm just rehashing this dude's words when saying Campbell's pocket presence stinks. This article was the came to mind when I was watching Gradkowski. |

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
gtripp, relax man. grab a dodgeball and plunk some punk kid in his head.
we dont have to analyze and cement our opinions on this trade today. we dont have to line up all the experts that like it and dont like it. it happened and is done with. barring a trade of mcnabb, hes our starting qb for the next few years which just doesnt feel right. we dont have to prove our opinion is right and all others are wrong. everyone right now is assuming and guessing and, as a fan base, hoping for the best.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
First of all, Reid is not > Shanahan.
Secondly, I don't beleive for one second that Reid wanted to trade McNabb to anyone, let alone us. I think this trade is a clear indication that Reid has lost tremendous power within the organization and I think he's out if the Eagles don't go to the superbowl this season.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
The Eagles weren't going to give up McNabb for a 5th rounder. The price was at least a 2nd and there were other teams more than ready to give that up.

Where were the winning organizations on this unbelievable opportunity? Do winning organizations not require a veteran quarterback?

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Quoted for truth, however, this is my point. No winning organization looked at their QB situation and decided trading a 2nd round pick+ for McNabb and thought "this is an opportunity we need to chase". It was met, among winning orgainzations, with a sense of "meh, we've got a guy."

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Really, is Tripp accusing others of faith when he's the one trusting ambiguous evidence and the interpretation of said evidence. He keeps on appealing to "normal stats" like yds, completion percentage, even though it is easy to establish as FACT that "normal stats" have ambiguities that simply cannot be assumed away; silliness like sack frequency UNAMBIGUOUSLY tells someone whether or not a QB has slow feet, even though guys like Steve Young had their fair share of 30+ sack seasons; the only sure thing the sack stat tells me is that the QB went to the ground with the ball in his hand X number of times. Basically, stats are an inference device that do not tell the whole picture, and he loves using this incomplete picture to propagate his snobbery-derived views.

Cooley on Sirius NFL right now.
"Cool for me, tough for my friend JC" "I am excited" "DM is a definite winner" "Hasn't talked to JC, but JC is at lunch with Mike Shanahan right now" |
