I think we're seeing the strategic development of the final choices with the appearance of "listening to all fans who made a submission".
I said the exact same thing. This entire process is calculated. You throw enough garbage names out there people will be distracted with the trash name they won’t be fighting over the most popular names.

If they are that is incredibly shoddy statistical analysis. No variable control what so ever. For all we know 100,000 11 year old boys are the ones voting. That being said that would be on par for the last 20 years.

I like Bullets but wish when rebranding had chosen something of cultural significance to the region.

It depends on the reliance they put on the data. I doubt that poll is the defining factor but you can use it to gauge some relative intensities. Even if it is 100,000 11 year old boys (which by the way for an NFL team that would be your ideal target - the bond formed rhen will last those boys lifetime ask my son the eli manning/nyg fan ) the energy behind the voting gives you some information.

These polls are designed to make the fans feel involved and their opinion valued. I doubt WFT cares what the fans prefer and will choose whatever name the organizations prefers.

True enough Also, as an organization you have to give the fans an outlet for their voice and that is what these do. Now if one choice were to blow everything away I think a good organization would take note, but I don't think any option out of the top 4 will dominate the fan selection so ultimately everyone will rally behind whatever name is selected even as bland as WFT, or lame as Warriors.
