Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

He's a good starting QB at the very least. And has more than enough years left. Proven good starting QB are hard to find. It's likely that he retains his trade value in the future. You're right it's still a risk, but less risky than just letting him go without another proven option at qb and also possibly no compensation for him. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
What a load of shit...trying to make it sound like he's some sort of martyr for holding out for every last penny. So Brady has set quarterbacks back to the stone ages apparently. Maybe try showing future quarterbacks that you don't need to bleed every last penny out of your franchise, and actually help the team sign other guys...
“[T]here’s other quarterbacks that come after you and it would be almost a selfish move to hurt future quarterbacks who get in a position to have a contract,” Cousins told 106.7 The Fan in D.C. on Monday. “And if you don’t take a deal that’s fair to you, then you’re also taking a deal that’s not fair to them and you’re setting them back as well. So there’s different reasons. You just do the best you can.”

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
He shouldn't take anything less than his fair market value. That's all he's saying. Why is that such a crime?

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
I am still amazed at all of the HATE for KC. The best QB since Brad Johnson or Mark Rypien and half of the fan base wants to run him out of town.

![]() And then still trash him when he helped lead Tampa Bay to their only Superbowl? It's seems whenever The Skins have a good QB a lot fans don't see it.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Truth. It's like we're so many years removed from McNabb/Beck/Grossman/bad Kirk/Colt that they have forgotten what truly terrible quarterbacking is.

No, it is what he's saying. You're the one trying to spin it into something disingenuous. |

I'm spinning it? You're the one attempting to interpret and spin it in a less f'ed up way. And you're continuing to put words in people's mouths by interpreting what he said in your own words. |

You are spinning it, I'm taking what he said at face value, you think what he's saying is BS. What he said didn't need any interpretation on my part. |

Again, I don't see the problem. But if it's something that gets your drama queen panties in a bunch, well then enjoy.

Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
... problem is it comes off as BS. Never heard this from him before. So he's doing it for the greater good of all QBs. Yeah rite.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
What is he saying that's BS? All eyes will be on his deal as it sets the framework for guys that come next.
I don't know what's BS or delusional about that. Nor do I understand why it bothers anyone. If you want to criticize his performance I can understand that, this drama queen stuff with what he's saying is so dumb. |
