That will not happen. When have we ever signed a big name free agent and he produced like he did with his old team? Rarely happens, if at all for us.

I'm just saying, the guy is a cancer, why else would philly cut their best receiver? Let's be smart like we have been all March.

Throwing all that money that he will demand at someone who is known to be a prima donna and not a good teammate in the locker room as opposed to drafting some younger talent is asinine.
What did the Seahawks spend on Receivers last year? How about the Giants when they won 2 Super Bowls? Or the Pats when they won 3? Or the Ravens when they won their 2? If they spent a lot, then maybe we should as well. No need to reinvent the wheel.

If not, then maybe we should stop doing the exact opposite of the teams that contend year in and year out.

By the way, who were our Receivers when we were a top 10 Offense 2 years ago. I say pass. Invest in Defense and Linemen. Wide Receivers and Running Backs are borderline irrelevant.

There are not many times in the nfl where a receiver of DJ's caliber comes along. When it does you need to take a chance. We could sign a receiver in the 2nd round and he is a dud or it could take 3 years for him to be any good. DJ is a major weapon that will make our offense one of the best. We need to take a chance.

I cant for the life of me can think of anytime in the history of any sport let alone the NFL that a player of jacksons caliber coming off their best season just flat out cut.Its not like he's old either.Yeah he was going to make a lot of money but still Ive never seen it happen.
That alone should scare the hell out of somebody signing him.
Part of me wants him here, maybe he would have a chip on his shoulder and want to prove the eagles screwed up by releasing him,but then again he could turn out to be another T.O.

I can bet you anything after being cut by the coach who swore the Eagles wouldn't cut him, DJ changes his act and hits the field with something to prove. Come to DC and he gets to do that twice a year.

I'm guessing they would use D. Jackson like the shegulls use Percy Harvin.

Well the Seahawks did spend 11 million and a 1st round pick on Percy Harvin last year and got one big game out of him. It just happened to be the Super Bowl not to mention Sidney Rice who got hurt but also had a big contract.

How did they do without them?

I hear ya, I feel like Vinnie C when I start saying get him. BUT he would solidify our receiving corps free up the 2nd pick for a RT, and he would give us a solid punt return threat.
I don't think it will happen because I think Bruce will be the anti Vinnie, which is generally what we needed here.

There is really no tackle at that spot worth getting. It would be better to trade down about 12-15 picks, and add another 3rd rounder. Who knows what will happen.

I agree there will probably be no tackle worth taking at #34, however I doubt you can get an extra 3rd for trading down a dozen spots

According to the trade value chart (for what it is worth), a trade down from 34 to 50 nets an extra third round pick.
